I stayed at the Luxor for the Las Vegas Rock N Roll Marathon and i must say i was quite pleased! A short 5 minute cab ride from the airport, checking in Saturday night was quite busy but they had plenty of friendly and helpful staff on hand to accommodate everybody and the line moved quickly. My room was in the west tower and was very comfortable, clean and had a wonderful view of the excalibur, the elevators were lightning fast even on the busiest of nights, the entire hotel and casino always appeared clean and well maintained. Overall i had a great experience and would highly recommend the Luxor when staying in Vegas.

My first trip to Las Vagas, will not ne my last. The city is bigger than life. our room at luxor was very nice and clean. The be was very comfortable it was quiet on our floor. We had steaks at Prime which were excelent. Great shops and the staff very helpful. The spa was fabulous, the best massage I have ever had. Great amenities.

Room Tip: Stay on the East wing! They looked newer. The hall ways were well lit.

I stayed here for a conference at Mandalay Bay. It was significantly cheaper and despite being right next door it took about 20 min from our room by foot to get to the conference rooms on the south convention center side. The tram was an option for the afternoon but it wasn't generally running early enough in the morning for me. My biggest compliant was no Wi-Fi, they did have free high speed internet with an Ethernet cord but if you bring an ipad or macbook air without the adapters you are toast and end up doing work on your iphone for a week. :( The restaurants at the hotel are of course over priced. New York New York has a couple better sit-down casual restaurants with prices ~15 dollars per entree. The rooms were very clean, but the lightening was horrible. It was all around the perimeter of the room and no overhead lightening when I couldn't find something in my suitcase, I would turn on all the lights and it still wouldn't change anything. I would still likely stay here again because of the price, but next time I'll bring my Ethernet cord adapter and a flashlight.

This was our 4th trip to Vegas, first at the Luxor. The rooms were nice, but it's about time for an upgrade. The rooms are getting old and worn. There is not enough lighting. With an elevator located at each corner of the pyramid, you have to walk a LOT to get to your room unless it's right near the elevator.
The slots were somewhat loose. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We got coupons with our check-in, but didn't use them. They only applied to the more expensive restaurants and bars. There was even a free admission to a nightclub that was closed for renovation.

Room Tip: Get a room close to an elevator!

The Luxor had excellent prices the week we were there. Staff were very nice and answered our questions when we called or went by the front desk. The only thing we did not like was walking by people who asked us "are you staying tonight? Can we get you into a show?" They asked EVERY time we passed.

We have stayed at the Luxor 5 times this year. Good value! Had a bad experience a the buffet there - make sure it is up and running at full capacity before you pay for the meal : ) I would recommend the Luxor for the valet parking and the bell service. The resort fees are high considering they don't have wireless internet access.
