We stayed two nights in a king tower room. Room was clean and modern with a tub and shower. Very quiet. check in was quick and easy at around 9:00pm. Parking is free but is a hike to the room. Valet is available. We had a great rate at around $50/ night plus $18/ night "resort fee".We were on our way to Bryce and Zion canyons so we used Las Vagas as a jumping off point. As some other have said the hotel is at the south end of the strip. Buffet at the hotel is ok but more cafeteria than upscale. For the price this was a great place to start a western vacation.

Room Tip: In our experience the tower rooms are more modern and are at the quiet part of the hotel.

Hotel theme is excellent and well-presented throughout. Staff helpful and professional. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Had a view towards the back part of the Excalibur Hotel – it was OK but not the best view – in saying that, I purchased the best rate online. Made the booking from the hotels website, very easy to use. Club LAX is excellent, although expensive I would recommend buying a booth for the night. Great location, quick and easy walk to New York New York or MGM. If I was to stay in Las Vegas again, New York New York seemed to have the best themed hotel and would like to stay there, but certainly wouldn’t look past Luxor - dependant on room rates.

I will never return to this hotel again (if i had an option ofcourse). The room was dirty, the corridors dirty, the carpets unkempt, cigarette smoke hanging in the air. Paid good money and what a waste. Booked this hotel on www.hotels.com and their review was not only misguided but their billing system is sneaky! From outside this casino looks good, but from the inside .. dark stinky dump!! No wifi - elevators are miles away - no coffee makers ...... Don't waste your money here ...

My husband & I just spent three nights at The Luxor September 24th-27th. We enjoyed our stay with no complaints!
Upon check-in we asked if an up-grade to the tower was available, and yes! We were up-graded to a nonsmoking king bed room in the West Tower on the 13th floor over looking The Excalibur. NO charge! :) The room was nice, clean, updated, large bathroom, flat screen tv, good AC. My only wish would be a coffee maker in the room and a Mini fridge would be great to. But no big deal really, there is a Starbucks near the elevator. The west tower is also nearest to the pool & spa. We enjoyed the casino, good layout. Free cocktails while you gamble, several bars, restaurants, & a few shops. The timeshare reps only bothered us once, we looked lost looking for the check-in location and they tried to lure us in at that time. But, we were ready and sternly said "no" and walked away. These people are at about every hotel entrance on the strip. The Luxor is connected to Mandalay, Excalibur, NYNY, and The Tropicana with easy access to MGM and the monorail to the other end of the strip. Less than 10 minutes from the airport is a plus. We would definety book again.

Great value rates are low but great service.Wonderful Buffet . T&T had wonderful Mexican food. Avoid the people in lobby and casino trying to sell time shares. Pool was very nice my room overlooked the pool and saw them clean it every morning. Loved that it was connected to the Excalibur and the Mandalay Bay. Free tram service from both Excalibur and the Mandalay bay.
Bus stop right outside hotel on the strip. Quiet location.

Room Tip: Had a wonderful 8th floor room with a pool view. If you are looking for a tub get a room in the towe...

I haven't stayed here in years but got a great deal through Virgin Vacations for a quick weekend getaway. Was pleased with the hotel. Does it show some age. Yes. But when you're paying about $50 a night on a weekend really, what do people expect.

Staff was accommodating and friendly, especially the guys at Aurora Bar. We had one of the "older" rooms in the pyramid. It was great. Clean, well appointed, not small, great view of the strip...18th floor. Got a cabana by the pool for Sunday, what a steal. Great fun. And it seems like less kids at this casino (why why why do people think that Vegas is a family vacation spot?)

Its no Bellagio or Wynn, but if you want to be close to the strip without stripping your wallet, Luxor is a good choice. When I think about the price I paid for the room compared to the other hotel prices on the strip this hotel is actually great value

Good:
Close to strip. You can walk thru the walkways all the way to New York hotel or cut across to MGM or take free monorail to mandalay bay.
The theme is nice for those of us who don't live in Egypt.
Cleanliness was good for us, we enjoyed pyramid cafe, staff was nice.
The best thing happened to us was that we felt our bed was horrible. It had like no cushion, very soft. Believe it or not they actually changed the bed for us, that was amazing service.

Not Good:
No WiFi only hard wire in our room.
No coffee maker or fridge.
Pool is blah.
Check in took like 20mins - maybe thats normal in Vegas lol
