Owner description: Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment. The Neon Museum campus includes the outdoor exhibition space known as the "Neon Boneyard", a visitors’ center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby and the Neon Boneyard North Gallery which houses additional rescued signs and is available for weddings, special events, photo shoots and educational programs. Night tours feature the fabulous neon of our seven restored signs, and our beautifully and dramatically lit un-restored signs. Due to the nature of our collection, the Neon Museum Boneyard is only available to the public through an hour long guided tour. Tours are available seven days a week and tour times vary based on the season.

It was BLAZING hot out but the host was funny and it was a great time. Book in ADVANCE they do not take same day reservations. We took lots of pics (I know so bad not posting) I love to see old Vegas turn to new Vegas

We went on this tour before the visitor centre opened and it was still fantastic so once the full centre opens it will be even better.
It was so great to see and learn about the history of the neon sign in Las Vegas and to understand what actually goes into having one designed and built (a lot more than i had really thought!)
It's a shame that this place doesn't have more of a profile as the work they are doing to restore, conserve and share such a great part of Las Vegas history is amazing.
We went on a super hot day in the high summer season and boy was it hot - but even still it was totally worth it and once the visitor centre opens that won't be an issue.

Las Vegas has plenty of bright lights, tacky carpets, showgirls and flashy magicians. It is easy to get grossed out in no time. This is one thing in Vegas you can do where you will be happy to show your friends and family the photos with no embarrassment. The tour guides were all volunteers but clearly had a passion for the subject and were very friendly. It is a guided tour so you don't get to run around the place wild, but they allowed plenty of time for photos. The tour was very interesting, offering a history of both the city of Las Vegas and the neon signs themselves. We made reservations ahead of time via their website, but I am not sure if you could have signed up that day. It was a little hard to find - the cab driver didn't even know where it was - so plan on leaving a little earlier than you think so you have time to find it! It was definitely the best thing we did in Vegas.

Great to see that someone thought to keep these historical items, the place was still under construction but we managed to get on one of their guided tours, our guide was so knowledgeable and made it so much more interesting than it could have been. Some great items on display, we had plenty of time for photo's and the weather was brilliant giving us some superb photo's. If you are expecting the finished article, then you will be disappointed, but if you are happy with walking around a building site with the signs propped up against each other giving some great angles and views, you will be pleased. Good place to visit for about and hour.
