For a quiet escape from the heat outside & noise in the casinos this fit the bill. It is quite a long walk, as Mandalay is on the end of the strip & then have to walk to the end corner. The tanks were clean, & sharks were impressive. There is a large turtle in the shipwreck tank that seemed to be aware of the viewing areas-he seemed to be showing off! It is an average aquarium, but everything looked well cared for.

The shark reef was very clean, great staff, and envirnment for the sharks/sting rays/piranha seem to be cared for very well. Great for all ages! Will definately go again.

We saw marine life that was new to us. It may be scary for little kids at it is very dark in places and some of the marine life is scary.

If you have seen all the sights and have nothing else to do for half an hour and are at the Mandalay, plus have $18 to spare, then you may enjoy.

I was slightly disappointed with the attraction and thought it did not justify the $18 admission charge, or the trek to the Mandalay. Although you could catch the free mono rail that links as far as the Bellagio.

This is a decent aquarium, with some very unusual fish on display (the sawfish were a highlight), and some nice features, such as the Ray pool where you get to stroke the friendly stingrays.

However, I've been to quite a few similar aquariums before and this one was quite small in comparison. If you've ever been to the Deep Blue aquariums in the UK, for example, then you've probably seen all this before on a larger scale for a similar price.

Still, it was a nice way to spend an afternoon, and the fact that it's in a hotel still impresses me - but that's Vegas!
