Owner description: Millions and millions of people have flocked through the doors of Madame Tussauds since they first opened over 200 years ago and it remains just as popular as it ever was. There are many reasons for this enduring success, but at the heart of it all is good, old-fashioned curiosity. Today's visitors are sent on a unique, emotionally-charged journey through the realms of the powerful and famous. The museum-style ropes and poles have gone so guests can truly get up, close and personal with A-list celebrities, sporting legends, political heavyweights and historical icons, reliving the times, events and moments that made the world talk about them....

“Rubbing elbows with the stars”
Reviewed April 9, 2007

Madame Tussauds is one of the more affordable attractions on the "Strip". Located outside the Venetian, Madame Tussauds offers an excellent mix of stars to rub elbows with. From Jack Sparrow to the Rat Pack this museum has something for every age.
The tour is as long or as short as you want it to be. Be selective and pose with your favorites, or take the time to pose with them all. Almost every set has something to wear when posing for the camera. Jack Sparrow has a pirate hat, and eye patch. The Blue Man group has a working pipe organ you can play on. And for the ladies, George Clooney's set comes complete with a priest, and wedding dress.
Another added treat (although being a horror fan I would have liked a few pictures) is a mini haunted movie theater that holds the likes of Jason, Freddy Krueger, and Leatherface (No Michael? Boo!) stalking you. Pictures are not allowed, and your tour guide (at least mine) looks and sounds like he just strolled out of the trailer park (all part of the act).
For those of you looking for a discount? Take the walkway past Madame Tussauds down to the road. Make a left and look for the Denny's sign (a short walk). Enter Denny's and inside the foyer are pamphlets for Madame Tussauds with $4.00 off per ticket on the back.

“fun experience”
Reviewed April 7, 2007

My teenage daughter insisted we do this. I hesitated but am glad we did. We had a lot of fun taking pix with the celebrities . I got to pose with Hefner ala the 'Girls Next Door' ( I love that show...) and she sang on the American Idol set. The horror part is pretty bland. We got some money off from a coupon I had but her rate was better as a student. (If traveling with kids, bring their ID). All in all, great fun. By the way, check out the gift shop in the Venetian- the ladies who run it are the nicest in LV.

“Pleasant surprise”
Reviewed April 5, 2007

At the Venetian we looked for somewhere to go cos it was soooo hot. We were surprised at how good the figures were and the close contact that we could have. There is a very wide selection of celebrities from the old to the new so all generations can relate. Well worth a visit.

“Madame Tussaud's made a great evening!”
Reviewed March 31, 2007

We did this our first night there after a few cocktails. I loved it! We took some of the goofiest pictures there! The total price after my 2-4-1 coupon from the POV was $24. I don’t think I would pay regular price for this, but then again, I’m a cheapskate. They had all different types of people in there from sports figures (Dale Earnheardt, Tiger Woods, etc) to celebrities (Hugh Hefner, Julia Roberts, Oprah, etc). Even one of George W. Bush.

If you're looking for something different and fun to do, this is it!

“Great fun for all the family”
Reviewed January 29, 2007

Its been about 18 years since I went to Madam Tussards in London and things have really changed in their museums. The whole experience is now interactive, in the Las Vegas one you can don your bunny ears and chill with Hef, put on a wedding dress and marry George Clooney, play poker with Ben Afleck and loads more. Being English I did not know any of the sports stars but that didn't matter as it was a really good break from the casinos and would recommend it to all.
