“Pleased with the Stratosphere”
Reviewed September 7, 2010

We like the Stratosphere however recognize that it may not be for everybody.
We get a clean, fully functional room for a great price, a range of restaurants, entertainment and gambling- and great service from all of their staff.
The Stratosphere is located far north on the strip and the area can be a little dicey at night, but we have never had a problem. We had a nice suite in the World 1 Tower that was clean and roomy. A burned out bulb in a light and a loose leg on a coffee table were repaired quickly. Roxys is a great choice for breakfast or lunch, and we especially enjoy the Top of the World Restaurant. We enjoy the diversity of our fellow guests and how far our gambling dollar goes. If you are looking for the ultra high end experience- this is not it however we enjoy our trips here and how we can stretch our vacation dollar.

“X Scream - Front seat, what a rush”
Reviewed August 15, 2010

Was a bit of a wait to get up the tower. The lift is 2 levels and think they were only using one level for some reason?
Asked the worker which was the scariest ride and was told the front seat of the X Scream. And they were right, when the ride took off over the edge of the building. I was screaming to stop the ride. Was a huge rush. Couldnt do it with hands off the handles.

Views from tower was also amazing.

I had heard about the views from the Stratosphere tower so I took my mother and kids when we visited Las Vegas last June. OK, the view is pretty impressive, but not enough for the price. It take about 15 minutes to look around and that is it!
The rides a really just for the "crazies" or "show offs".
We were hungry and thought it would be nice to get a bite to eat while enjoying the view but the only option is the over expensive restaurant (about $60 per person on the lower side). The really should offer a more reasonable option.

I thought the Stratosphere was a great place to stay as it was off the strip a bit. Many people need to know this. It is far away from the main hotels, water shows etc., about a 1/2 hour to 45 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride, but I loved being away from the hustle and bustle. Make sure you go to Roxy's, the staff is so much fun, they even sing at night. The eggs benedict is delicious. Be aware that there is a resort fee you must pay at the end even thought they tell you it is included, it isn't!!!!! Make sure if you take a cab, they don't take you completely out of your way, as they will. This happened to us. Make sure you ask someone aprox. how much it is to go somewhere. The 25th floor pool just rocks as do the bartenders, but beware ,it is a long trek to get there....in fact the hotel is huge, if you don't like to walk, this prob isn't for you. The 8th floor pool is great too. If you want a strong drink, so see DICK OR MATT, both great bartenders, give you xtra shots...they have the best mexican place with a complete salsa bar on the 2nd floor, delicious...we at their many times. The rooms are great, but NO FRIDGE, no coffee maker and no microwave..just so you know. Beds are really comfy. Drinks run you $10 to $16 depending on which bartender you get. The band dowstrs is not very good...best to go hit the clubs.

“Nice View!”
Reviewed June 22, 2010

We went up the Tower for the view, but didn't have the courage for any of the crazy rides. Still, really nice view of the surrounding area, though you can't see more than about half of the strip. We went during the day - if you are more interested in the lights of the strip and not the surrounding scenery, then probably better to go at night.
