It's definatly something I like to do every couple of years. It's a little on the expensive side but what an AMAZING view of the strip and all of Las Vegas!

“Not worth the hype.”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

I went to the Stratosphere to ride the rides on the tower. Not only were they overpriced, even for Vegas, they were boring. I could get better rides at Busch Gardens for the price and not have to walk through that horrible neighborhood. This place was so far off the strip that I took a cab back to the Mirage after.

I used to come here when I was a little kid, but I think it's gotten a lot better. I went during the early evening and all the lights were crazy. It MUST be on your list of things to do in Vegas. The next time I visit, I plan on going to the bars on the top floor.

“Level 107 lounge - Sky high @ half price”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

We visited Las Vegas for a week from 11th October.

We decided to visit the Stratosphere Tower on a late afternoon / evening trip up to Freemont to do the zipwire experience - that is the extent of how extreme rides get for us !!, if you want extreme, try the Big Shot (at the top of the tower), Insanity (spinning off the edge of the tower) or freefall 855ft to the ground off the edge of the building.

We visited at 4 pm on purpose to take in the level 107 lounge. We mentioned to the girls at the ticket office that we were heading there for drinks, and did NOT pay to ascend the tower (otherwise it costs c$18 each). It is 100% worth it, as all cocktails between 4 and 7 pm are half price provided you have the same drink choice as your partner. Food is very tasty and is considered to be 'appetisers size', but this is also half price, so excellent value all round - 4 cocktails and 2 plates of food later the total bill without service charges was approximately $40 - even better as you watch the shadows of the building lengthen as the sun goes down, probably the best time of the day to visit.

Following the food and drink we climbed to level 109 to experience others getting their thrills on the rides, views of an excellent sunset, the lights of the city and 'The Strip', and getting buzzed by the many helicopters taking passengers on the night time tour of The Strip.

... then it was time to jump the Juice bus to Freemont for more fun !!
