Scenic, beautiful and breathtaking! Nature's church! Great place for rock climbing and hiking. After driving through the Loop, continue south on the hwy and head into Spring Mtn Ranch. A great place to end your day of recreational hiking and picnic here for cool trees and scenic mountains.

“awesome”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

we took the scenic drive. Thanks to our friend. Its great. We visited during Jn 2013 and I would suggest that if you can get to this area by 3.30pm it's best as the rays of the sun on the rock create a magical and breathtaking colour effect.

“Very Nice Drive”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

We drove the 14 mile loop, it was very nice and so scenic so close to Las Vegas...strange and nice! It was a cloudy day so I don't think we got to see the full beauty of it. I'd love to go back and do a couple of the hikes. Maybe next time. Visitor center is very nice, Really beautiful with exhibits inside and out.

“hidden jewel off strip”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

If you are looking for a great sight seeing trip only 30 miles from the strip you must go to Red Rock Canyon. It is a direct drive take Las Vegas Blvd towards Downtown to Charleston Blvd. Left, and continue on Charleston to Red Rock Canyon. It is the most scenic drive thru the canyon with drive off stops to sit and take in the views. The cost to enter is $8.00 per car. There is a visitor Center upon entering and you continue along the road to view beautiful rock formations and enjoy the peaceful views. You can hike or even climb if you are that fit and adventerous, or just drive around and stop and the designated views and relax. I would recommend this to everyone especially children. Its just amazing and to think it's only 30minutes from all the activity of the Las Vegas Strip. I always make a trip there when I go to Vegas.

“Great place to take a hike”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Really cool, in the park there is a 13 miles one way loop that you can drive and there are approx 10 parking lots that offer very different hiking experiences. if you are going take water, sun screen, hiking boots and your camera. I just drove around and soaked in the scenery and it was great, I'd go again
