We dined in the bar seating area on a Friday night and were extremely impressed with the food, service, and overall experience. We ordered a bottle of wine (a great, and cheap, grenache at $36) and were treated to have the sommelier come over to prime our glasses and talk. We didn't feel dumb asking questions and received a very high level of service. For dinner we had the butter leaf and blue cheese salad, which was wonderful, and at the waiter's suggestion decided to create our own surf and turf entree by ordering both the lobster and one of the American Waygu steaks. The lobster was cooked perfectly and taken out of it's shell at the table by the bar area manager, and the steak was amazing, cooked just as we ordered with a fantastic crust. Our eggplant side dish was equally as impressive as the entrees.

Even though we were stuffed we ordered their fancy version of banana cream pie for dessert, and although I usually am not a sweets person, this is something I would come back for.

All in all a wonderful meal, and one that I would return for. Definitely gives CarneVino a run for it's money in the steak department!

Firstly, how can the reviewer below compare CUT to the Grand Lux Cafe, completely different food, target market, dining experience, etc. need I go on.
We had a superb experience at CUT last Saturday, found the service friendly and super-efficient without being overbearing. Excellent steaks, lobster etc. reasonably priced for this calibre of restaurant. All food was precisely cooked, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Bill of approx. US700.00 for four with a few cocktails and other drinks pretty reasonable compared to similar restaurants in London, NY etc.
Highly recommended.

First waiter couldn't understand clear English and also seemed very pompous, he asked if we would like water and then brought out an expensive bottle of mineral water when others were getting free chilled water. The next person to serve us was much better and friendlier. The food was good although very expensive for what it is and the place was full of people in suits.
All in all it wasn't bad but i wouldn't go back, i would rather eat at the Grand Lux Cafe at the Palazzo as service/Food and Value are all excellent.

Everything about our experience here was superb, the service was impressive, we had an 8pm reservation and they seated us immediately at a large corner booth. Our server was professional, quick, knowledgeable and didn't make us feel rushed. They have a fantastic wine list. The food was divine, every place else we ate that weekend just couldn't compare.
About $450 for dinner for 2 and 100% worth it. NOT for people on a budget, this is fine dining, if you're looking for a quick steak and cheap wine go elsewhere.
