I stayed at the Trump because it was great rates for the size of the rooms they offered. I was very pleased with the rooms and the cleanliness. I thoroughly enjoyed the huge jet spa tubs and the big showers inside of the master bedroom (I stayed in the 1 bedroom hotel). It was also very convenient to have another shower in the bathroom located in the living area. Having the bedroom and a seperate living area with a kitchen was amazing!

The location of the hotel was not far from the spots that I was planning on going - XS at the Encore (right across the street, walking distance) and Lavo at the Palazzo ($6 cab ride). And there is the Fashion Mall right across the ways which was very convenient to run and grab make up I had forgotten to pack.

Of course there is no casino here at the hotel so it is a lot more quiet. I'd say it is a great place to stay with your family since the rooms are big and there is not any gambling and drinking going on at this hotel.

The WORST part about staying at the Trump was the service. I tried to call in 3 times the morning of check out and was placed on hold each time and anytime anyone did answer, they would just put me on hold again - like they didn't know who to transfer me to. I ended up having to go downstairs to check out. Also, I tried to call Valet before I came downstairs to have my car brought up so it was ready right when I got out, but no one picked up at Valet either. If you are big on room service and needing attention from staff, do NOT stay here. Our group got by since we were really only staying there to sleep in the room and playing outside the hotel, but if you are looking for a place to stay where you want to stay within the hotel the entire time for their entertainment and amenities, this is NOT the place, go somewhere else!

Overall, I'd say it's a good bang for the buck if you are on a budget and want a comfortable and clean room.

Also, I'd have to add that the additional $16 that they charge for the fitness center and pool is BS. I didn't even use those amenities and still had to pay!

As a resident of Las Vegas, I was horrified to find out that my family visiting from the U.K. were charged an extra $15 per night for the gym and pool. Since when did that become an extra ? Not only that, it is not an option. I have read some reviews on this page and see that others were not happy either. As a result they will go back home and tell others not to go to Trump, and we will spread the word too. The rooms are lovely, but so are many others in the city. As far as we are concerend, the Trump hotel just gave Las Vegas a black eye.

Dear valued Guest:

The Resort Fee is certainly a common charged assessed at hotels to provide full access to a majority of the amenities at a low fee. The a la carte charges used to be much higher when the same amenities were billed differently. Thank you for your posting.

After a horrid experience at the Venetian, coming here was like arriving in heaven!

The first thing that struck me was the peace and quiet. There are good points about coming to a place that isn't attached to a casino. First off, you know that the hotel is focused on making your stay pleasant, since their income isn't being bolstered by their casino. Also, the caliber of the clientèle is very different. Less drunk people, and no crowds to be pushed through, no second hand smoke, no stale alcohol smell, no yelling. Just people who want a peaceful, relaxing experience.

The front desk agents were pleasant and attentive. We got a strip view room on the 52nd floor, which was jaw droppingly awesome. The room was very sleek and elegant, with understated touches of luxury. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the in-room kitchen and all the cookware and dining utensils provided. Jacuzzi tub was wonderful. Also, when I discovered our radio was broken, a new one was promptly brought up by a very professional attendant from house-keeping.

The only reason why it's not 5 stars from me: it's a little too far from the strip (must take taxi), and I wasn't really floored by the food we got at the DJT. My feeling is that this place hasn't quite reached its apex, since it opened during an economic slump and there isn't enough of a customer base yet to make it truly rock. But if what I experienced was any indication, it won't be this way for long!

Stayed for 2 nights on business. Asked for a quiet room and was given an amazing room at the end of the hall with views of the north strip (the Wynn and Encore, Palazzo). Rooms are massive and very clean, nicely decorated and appointed: sitting area, kitchenette. Bathrooms have oversized jetted tubs and a TV mounted in the mirror (first I've seen). Staff was courteous and friendly, service was prompt. This is an excellent choice for business travelers or anyone wanting to avoid gaming properties and smoking (the entire hotel is smoke free). You'd be hard pressed to find another hotel in North America of this quality at such a reasonable rate. I had no problems with the service, concierge, or valet. No problems with noise either. Very short 3 minute walk to the strip. Highly recommended. (Many complain of the resort fee, but its actually fairly reasonable, since it includes valet parking and use of all facilities, something that most major chains such as Starwood charge for)

This place has got to be bleeding money, and it shows in cleanliness and service. A five star should have impeccable service. Don't expect this at the Trump. No bellman took my bags from my taxi, no doorman held the door for me when I entered the hotel on arrival or any time thereafter. The place is beautiful and the rooms are huge, with great beds and amenities and huge bathrooms with jaccuzi tubs, but my room had very dirty windows and toilet paper that was a step below what you might expect to find in an airport or elementary school. I ate the Sunday breakfast buffet. 27 bucks a person. What a joke. That must be where they are trying to make up money. Trump is non-smoking, a huge bonus, and is a great bargain just off the strip. I would recommend it, especially for bargain minded folks looking for a great deal. But do not expect a five star experience if that is what you are used to. Be aware that this place is noisy, too. Even on the 42nd floor, freeway and train noise was loud. Bring ear plugs.

Rooms very spacious, clean and well kept. Staff was very helpful and always courteous. Room service was delivered very quickly. The sofa bed was not very comfortable but that would be my only complaint in an otherwise very top notch place.

There was a $15 charge per day added to bill for parking/fitness center use regardless if you use them or not.

This is a well appointed hotel with all the comforts one would expect at a high end apartment hotel. The bathrooms are particularly nice. some spectacular views from higher floors. The big drawback is that even with the five star appointments, the hotel lacks that five star feel. The lobby is sparse and almost warehouse like.

There is no casino in the building, and ther is only one (overpriced) restaurant. But besides that, there is no one to welcome you when you arrive, and you have to scan the area for a receptionist. The security guards are very curt to the point of being almost rude before they let you pass from the lobby to the elevators.

Is this hotel really a bargain? When you take into account having to pay $5 for a small bottle of water, $$ for internet, unusually high prices for room service and the $15 resort fee... may as well be at one one of the nice hotels on the strip where all the action is.
