“BEWARE OF VALET PARKING!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

I was disapointed in our stay at the Trump. First of all the heavy perfume smell in the lobby made me nauseated. The pool and fitness center were nothing to write home about. We didn't even use them, but we had to pay the $25 per night resort fee. We also paid $30 per night to upgrade to a strip view, but really all we could see was two huge empty lots and the Wynn. If you pressed your nose to the glass you could see Circus Circus.

I left my prescription sunglasses in the room when we left, and I called a couple of times about them. Each time I was sent to voice mail and never received a call back.

When we got home we got a call from the rental company saying there was a couple inch hole in the driver's side low bumper area, suspicious for a parking accident. We had the car the entire time except when it was in their care, and we know that nothing happened while we were driving it. I called just to report it to the valet manager, but was sent to voice mail and never got a call back. We're now stuck with a repair bill for something we didn't do.

Next time we go to Vegas we will be staying elsewhere.

The hotel was very nice, the rooms were very big, had kitchenette and a huge bathroom with a shower and a tub. The resort fee was high for what it offered. The hotel is a block off the strip but its also not around any other hotels so there isn't much to do there. It is nice to have a smoke free hotel, and when the area around it gets developed with hotels it will have a much better location.

We asked about taking a bus and one person working at the hotel told us there wasn't one that would take us to the outlets, then we talked to someone else and they told us where to go, what bus to take. Might help to train them with some basic information but i'm sure most people that stay their just take a cab.

I stayed at the Trump for 4 nights. Check in was rapid and the staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious with a strip view, large seating area, mini kitchen, great entertainment facilities and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also huge, there was a big walk in shower and a large tub, the TV in the mirror was also a nice touch. As I arrived quite last I ordered room service, this was delivered promptly and the food was excellent. The following day I used the spa services and had a treatment done from Liliana who was great. Check out was lightning fast and overall I had a great time at the Trump.

In terms of negative points the mobile phone coverage was a bit sketchy so many times I found myself without reception. Next time I would probably stay somewhere more central and close to the nightlife, however if you are not interested in casinos/nightclubs/pool parties then the Trump is ideal.

Great rate for a very decent accommodation on the outskirts of Strip. A bit tricky to figure out driving from I-15 by the side streets, because traffic on the Strip is getting worse and worse. Good thing is a free shuttle every 15-30 minutes to Wynn and Ceasar's Palace. Room was a very generous size, with well appointed bathroom. Kitchenette in the room had no cookware or dishes when we arrived, but they were delivered immediately after we called Housekeeping. You must be ready to name the items you need in the kitchen, like pots and pans and their quantities and sizes. Caught me completely unprepared! Could be a good game, naming things you absolutely cannot cook without. Swimming pool is not big enough to accommodate Easter Vacation crowd, but that was our bad luck, I suppose.
Anyway, gorgeous golden tower provided us with luxurious peace and quiet not too far from hustle and bustle of Strip and Downtown. And since there is no Casino in the Trump Hotel, there were no endless crowds walking through it, like in Venetian or Bellagio. Great place to bring a family!

Room Tip: Studio suit is quiet sufficient for a small family, especially when you spend most of the day some p...

Overall, we really liked this place. It was "a little off the beaten path" which was good for us because we didn't want to be in the middle of all the chaos on the strip but it was just a tad inconvenient for when we did want to venture out. There was a shuttle that ran regularly but if you wanted to walk, it was difficult without a clearly defined street. You sort of had to dodge the cars.
The room/suite was lovely and the pool was quite nice as well. Service at the pool was great too. There was only one restaurant in the lobby and while we had a pretty nice lunch there, breakfast was a bit disappointing.
I really liked this hotel…elegant and quiet. My husband not so much. He will need to be in the middle of the action next time.

Dear MJZ17,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay at Trump Las Vegas.

We read a lot of reviews about our location and many of our guests enjoy being right across the street from the Nordstrom entrance at Fashion Show Mall and a short drive from Las Vegas Blvd. I apologize that our location was not ideal for your needs, but I hope that you took advantage of our shuttles and were able to get where you needed to be.

We are happy to read that you enjoyed our rooms and our pool and most of all that you received the service that we strive to provide.

Stayed only one night. It was way off the strip and not worth the cost. I will not stay here again. My guess is that Trump got a really great price on the land- its right next to the railroad- a 5 star hotel next to a railroad- wow
