Just came back from a special new year's eve party in 'vegas' and the Trump made a huge difference! First of all, if you want some peace and quiet and an escape from the hurly burly of the strip...stay here. A non-smoking and non-casino hotel makes a difference. It is a hotel, albeit a large one. get a view on the South Strip side (NOT the North or west view). If you want a penthouse - go for the 03 three bedrooms! The service was patchy - housekeeping was good, room service was ok, but almost every request took 30 minutes regardless. The hotel did get a few things very wrong, but the front desk rectified each problem and gave us a credit for some inconveniences - though, it did require a prompt or two! Keep in mind, it is Vegas and at New Year's eve you need patience and TIP MONEY to make things happen...plan in advance, and allow for time! Don't expect anything immediately or for 'free'! The Wynn and Encore are the next best designed hotels, and the Palazzo is good too if you want to compare - but, anything else is just pure kitsch and crowded! The Trump offered the best value, and the Spa was excellent! One of the best massages I have ever had and on New Year's day it made a difference! The location is a little far from the action, but free shuttles compensate and the quieter surroundings make it a good destination for non-gamblers. The view on New Year's eve was great from the Stratosphere to the Aria - and 'above it all'! (The Trump is the tallest hotel in Vegas). You get what you pay for, and the value for money here made it worthwhile!

Room Tip: upper floors, 03 corner rooms! (for the view)

We thought long and hard about where we wanted to stay in Vegas (well, my wife did) and it was an excellent choice helped by the fasct we managed to get a very good deal via lastminute.com. Really wonderful and warm welcome after a long delayed flight. A complimentary upgrade to a fantastic room with a great view of the strip really perked us up. The room itself was large, very stylishly furnished with all mod cons and a huge bathroom of a very high quality. The bed was incredibly comfortable and expansive. It was, in short, absolutely perfect.

We chose the Trump because it wasn't actually on the strip itself and had no casino. This meant we had a luxurious haven to escape to from all the madness of the strip. The reception and hallways were sumptuously decorated with marble, gold fittings and typical Trump exuberance, but very high quality. If you can;t enjoy a bit of bling in Vegas, where can you? There was a wonderful pool and piping hot hot tub too with very comfortable beds. The bar was very pleasant and breakfast was excellent too.

Being just 5 minutes off the strip wasn't a problem as there were regular shuttle buses and we were at the much nicer at the better 'Wyn' end. Basically, if you're looking for a luxury hotel that you can escape to with a great pol at the best end of the strip, the this hotel is a Trump card.

Room Tip: Give a sob story about your flight being delayed and having travelled for 24 hours and see if you ca...

Arrived on 24/12/12 and left 31/12/12 and from the minute we pulled up in our taxi and the valet was helping us with our bags like a shot I knew we were going to have a great time in this hotel.
My husnabd and I go to Vegas every year for a week or two and have stayed in various hotels over the last 10 years, but for the last 3 or 4 years we have stuck with the MGM Signature as it's reasonably priced for an 'apartment' style hotel but also had extra special little touches like padded sunbed mattresses and little towels that 'hooked' onto them but gradually these things seem to have dwindled away, hence trying a new hotel.

The room was lovely, spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The bed was huge and so cosy and the bath was to die for. We noticed we didn't have any bath robes supplied, so upon walking through the hotel we mentioned it and we had some in our room within 5 minutes!

I also had to use the hotel laundry service due to an accident with some nacho cheese (don't ask!), which I have never done before in any hotel and I was very impressed. I had my jeans and blazer washed/dry cleaned and pressed within 12 hours all for $18!

We did a bit of cooking in the room (we do this sometimes just to save some $), all I would say is perhaps a few more utensils might be handy and some wine glasses maybe - I'm sure these could easily be obtained but didn't seem worth asking anyone.

The staff were all lovely - friendly, helpful and seemingly very happy in their work! Everyone we encountered was a delight.
Resort fee stings a bit but that's the norm these days but saying that the wi-fi was consistent, we had our paper and coffee every day and by the end of the week we had a dozen bottles of water stacked up! (In other hotels I've experienced if you don't drink them you don't get any more!)

Hopefully heading back to Vegas again in July 2013, it might have to be the Trump again...!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over New Years Eve. We were extremely pleased with the rate we payed for the hotel $220 per night. Our King room had a lounge and arm chair a small Kitchenette and a huge bathroom with a spar bath. The staff were extremely helpful. We asked for a late check out and we were told we could have the room until 4 pm free of extra charge. We had breakfast there twice and found it to be reasonably priced. The Yogurt Parfait is delicious (covered in fresh berries). On New Years Eve the hotel put on two different DJ areas free of charge. Great location just across the road from the huge Fashion Show shopping mall. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Wynn Casino and Caesars about every 20 min. This is also a non smoking hotel which we found great in a city full of smokey casinos. We highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Stay up high the lift is great.

We have just come back from staying at the Trump hotel Las Vegas after a new year getaway .
Let me first start by saying thank you to all the amazing friendly staff at the hotel, especially the staff who drive the courtesy shuttle to the Winn and Caesars, they couldn't have been more polite and helpful and very knowledgable about the area, as a first time visitor to Vegas, their tips on where to go were invaluable, this shuttle service was a real time saver for us and a big plus for us also.

Checking in was very easy, the girl who checked us in was very efficient and explained everything fully and then escorted us to the lift, I don't recall her name but she was lovely.

The rooms I would describe as being more of a mini apartment, separate bedroom, living area, kitchen and two showers !!... Excellent ... Decorated very tastefully and the beds .... Well they were very comfy !!!!!..... The only downside was that bloody train passing by outside honking its horn at 04.30hrs, but that can't be helped.
The rooms were cleaned daily and housekeeping do a great job.

We only ate once in the hotel and that was breakfast, it was very nice. !....

I found drink and liquor prices a bit steep tho , but you find that in almost every hotel.
All in all I found the Trump hotel to be a hotel I'd highly recommend especially due to its no smoking policy and no casino !.... It smelt fresh and clean and was spotless.

Also a visit to the Fashion Mall is a must for all you shoppers out there, over new year there were bargains galore and its just across the road from Trump .. A huge selection of high street shops .

Well done to all the staff at Trump, you all do a great job xx

A great room which exceeded my expectations, a large, spacious and luxurious room. Staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Free shuttle bus to the heart of the strip and the hotel is across the road from the biggest mall in Las Vegas. What more could I ask for?

Room Tip: Pick a room with a Strip view to get amazing views
