Nice clean huge room. Great Strip view. Loved the pool area with 2 whirlpools. Also there is no casino at the hotel. Thank you! The mall is located 1 minute from the hotel. Would most definitely stay here again! There is a 5 minute walk to The strip.

Room Tip: Bring your reservation papers -She "upgraded me" to a strip-view room. Well, that's wh...

We really liked this hotel- there were a few inconsistencies, but we would stay here again based on this experience. My husband and I stayed from November 10-13 for our first wedding anniversary. We booked on hotwire.com and got a rate of $80/night.

Check in: We left our last hotel and arrived at 11am. Even though we knew check in time wasn't until 3pm, we wanted to inquire about storing our bags until then. The check in woman was extremely friendly and told us they could get us into our room right away. This was a HUGE bonus since we were grumpy and tired from walking up the strip dragging luggage and wanted to relax. She said we could upgrade our room, but we declined as we were happy with the price we already paid. She also told us check out time was 11am but something later could be arranged. Since we had an evening flight, we asked for a late check out and didn't have to check out until 4pm... another HUGE bonus. This early check in/out that she arranged for us would be one of my primary reasons for staying again.
Room: Room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The bed was enormous and bedding lush. We loved the room, the lamp lighting, all the details. It really was perfect. Notable and strange: the gold exterior of the building seems to cause a strange hue to the indoor lighting during the day. It makes everything and everyone looks slightly green/yellow. My husband and I both noticed immediately. We had a 'mountain view' room, which we actually liked. The mountains in Nevada are so gorgeous! Yes, it looked directly onto the train tracks. On the 41st floor, we DEFINITELY heard the train horns clear as day and very loud. However, we never heard them at night so no complaints there. It really wasn't a big deal. We were also only provided with 1 coffee pod a day... simply not enough. The bathrobes (issues obtaining them, see below), once we got them, were THE BEST EVER! Seriously. One of the highlights of the trip.
Gym and pool: Gym was nice and roomy, lots of equipments, looks out onto the pool. My favorite was the fridge full of chilled towels. I have never seen this before, but am going to start doing it at home! Even though it was only about 12 degrees celsius, after the gym my husband and I took a dip in the pool and hot tub. Both could use a new tile paint job but were comfortable and refreshing. Nothing too fancy.
Restaurant: Just stopped in for a glass of champagne. Service was slow but it was nice that they gave us the happy hour priced menus even though we showed up 10 minutes past happy hour end time. Atmosphere, ambience and lighting were excellent!! We will eat here on our next stay.
Location: Hmmm. This makes me confused about previous reviewers. If you are elderly or handicapped, I can see the location being an issue. Otherwise, it's about a 5 minute easy walk to Treasure Island or the Wynn. Seemed very safe both day and night, so need to wait for a shuttle. We thought the location was excellent.
Resort Fee: PLEASE start adding this to the original price! At least part of it. Paying $25/night at the end of trip, even though we knew it was coming, put a bit of a damper on the stay. Would have much rather paid all at once. Besides, we didn't use the shuttle, the wifi didn't work for us, didn't want the newspaper that was dropped off, and had to go get our own coffee every day.
Service: This is where the issues were. Front desk staff and maids were excellent. Door men were friendly. However, I was SO looking forward to the bathrobes available for use during our stay. When we first arrived, there were no robes, and the mirror-embedded TV didn't work. So, we called the concierge and she was lovely and said she would have it all corrected. We returned 3 hours later and no one had come. So, we called again. The person said someone would come correct the issues immediately.... no one came. The next day, I wanted to use the pool so we called again for robes. Nothing. At that point my husband asked a maid for some robes and she was wonderful, she took some out of an un-used room for us. We bought batteries and fixed the TV ourselves. We were very disappointed in the service though. It felt like they took our call and then didn't even bother telling anyone. If we were phoning the wrong department, they should have told us. If there was a long wait, a call to let us know it would be taken care of later would have been appreciated. I work in customer service and understand mistakes happen... but three times with no acknowledgement isn't a mistake, it's an issue. We were polite the whole time... maybe we would have actually gotten a response had we made a big stink, but I don't like having to resort to that. Anyways, be prepared to seek alternate solutions if you actually need to ask for anything.

All in, this hotel is a great little oasis in Vegas. We will stay again, if the price is right like it was this time. A pretty and functional hotel with a few issues that can feel like a five star as long as you only pay 3 or 4 star prices (before resort fee, of course).

Have been to Vegas 25+ times, first time at the Trump. Loved the no casinos, and non smoking environment. Super quiet with all the usual big hotel amenities. The "best" massage I have had ever in their spa, and I am picky. Across the street from the big fashion mall, and free shuttle all day to the center of Vegas. Huge executive suite...the kicker...under $900.00 for the week for two.
Good work Donald!

We stayed here in autumn the week the weather turned and had a great time. Can't get enough of LV.

Standard rooms are condo style with hot plate, filter coffee machine and fridge. No cookware or plates and limited (1 of each) glasses and mugs. Bathroom has enormous walk in shower and spa-bath. Beautifully decorated and the biggest I've stayed in - bigger than the Signature Standard Condos. Beds are enormous and comfortable. Sofa bed appears to be in every room as standard - definitely a big enough room to sleep 4.

Pool is open all year. Nice pool/hot tubs although is very small by Vegas standards (I think 25yards - steps at the end so lap swimming tricky. I wonder whether it might be difficult to get a seat in busy times (we didn't stay at the weekend). Phenomenal slushy cocktails available from the pool bar which - like a few Vegas hotels - appears to be open year round - unlike Excalibur where we have previously stayed.

Didn't try the restaurant.

Happy hour was available in the lovely hotel bar 5-7pm with $5-6 wines and beers, sports subtely playing on the huge TV by the bar and friendly service. Cheap "small plates" (for 2 fairly hungry Brits, 3 betweens us was plenty) available during happy hour were absolutely delicious.

Free shuttle to Wynn and Caesars Shops. We didn't use it - the walk to the strip is approx 400m and felt safe at all times of the day/night. Nearby Starbucks and huge fastfood-hall in the Fashion Show Mall which has the usual range of US clothing shops that you'd find in any big US city mall. Cheap beer for most of the day/night on the corner of the street that the Trump sits on with the strip also.

Only gripes:

1. $25/day resort fee is pricey even by Vegas standards. It is meant to include daily inroom coffee: We discovered that this was only available if you remembered to tip the maid. I confess in the daft "employer pays basically nothing" culture in the States tips are necessary but I hate the idea that basic services are withheld if you don't tip (and also the need to tip before you get the service thus diminishing the motivation to provide good service). In this case, it should be called "wages" not "tips". Also, the promised newspaper delivery service included was never offerred. I suspect it was available but in a hotel of this standard I think the staff should be enquiring of the guest if they wish this.

2. The usual hard sell/unspoken request for a tip at check "would you like me to see what I can do about a strip-view room" felt like we were having cash squeezed from us. Our view out the back of the hotel looking over Downtown and the mountains was nice enough for us.

3. Valet Parking takes ages with no free parking option. There is a massive car park in this hotel - why is there no free parking option?

Room Tip: If you've never been to LV, a stip view room may be worth it if not too expensive but the views...

All the amenities in the room and common areas were very very nice. The pool area and workout facilities were nice. The spa was just OK. Expected much more... very basic. Convenient location next to mall but other than that next to empty lot and stopped construction on one side and the "adult entertainment" area on the other side.

first class, all the way! the staff are very friendly and helpful.we had a corner suite. it was very large. the bed was comfortable. the views of the strip were amazing. we used room service, one night after 12. the sandwiches were very good-came with fries and a drink. very prompt service. the shower in the master bath(it was cavernous) had some drainage issues but wasn't a problem. my only real issue was the noise the housekeeping staff made at 7 a.m., the 1st morning. they let the doors slam, repeatedly when cleaning the room next to ours. other than that, it was a pleasant stay. the shuttle, to ceasars, was a big help, as we did not want to drive the strip. finding our way back to the pickup area at ceasars was not easy, but that was on us.

Room Tip: ask for an upgrade. we had a strip view, but upgraded to a corner suite. had the strip view, plus a...
