First off, I booked this through Hotwire as a 5 star hotel on the strip. When the this hotel was chosen I was really disappointed as all other websites labeled this hotel as an OFF STRIP location. So beware for those using HOTWIRE for vegas (This was first time in all the years using Hotwire that I have been unhappy with the selection).
That issue aside, if you are choosing this hotel i will say the rooms a nice and spacious (standard room). We did get a high floor room on the 50th floor facing the strip. The view was nice you could see most of vegas in the floor to ceiling windows. The refridgerator is empty( pleasant surprise) so you can use is for you own purpose and not be charged like most other hotels do. The room also comes with two burners and a microwave for you use. Although I don't remember seeing any utinsles or plates to use, ask hotel about this before arrving if you plan on cooking. The room has one king bed and a pullout sofa. The sofa bed is horrible, we put it away and just used the sofa on its own to sleep on. Don't count on a sofa bed for any extra guest that might tag along unless you don't like them. There are two TV's one in the restroom room mirror, and one in front of the bed. The restroom was large with seperate tub and shower, although the shower head pressure seemed a little weak. The decor was upscale and elegant. There were damp spots in the carpet, but we didn't see a leak anywhere and it wasn't getting worse so we ignored it. In past reviews, some complained of train noise, which we did hear in the middle of the still night, but didn't wake any of us up and was never heard it during the day.
The hotel itself was nice, but small compared to the vegas main resorts. the lobby decor was upscale and the aroma in the lobby was my the best ever, very unique. We enjoyed the hotels social hour drink specials from 5PM-7PM and the fact that you take them back to your room. There are two free Trump shuttles, one takes you to the Wynn, the other to Ceaser's Palace. The run pretty frequent and there was never a long line. A great hotel feature. There is large mall across the street with a foodcourt and all kinds of shops for any budget, it also connects to the main strip on the opposite end. The pool was a good size but nothing too special, just somewhere to relax and swim. Did not use gym or spa or room service.
We were charged for the resort fee, but that was expected. Free newspaper, water bottles, and WIFI were included. Staff service was excellenct on all areas of the hotel.
The only really negative item, was the poor cell phone service with our sprint phones. My wife had business issues to attend to and trying to make and recieve calls created additional headaches. Which is why despite all the other things we liked we will not be returning to this location.
