Spontaneous Christmas eve stay. I've only stayed here in Summer. Winter was amazing as well. It was a winter wonderland up there. Our room wasn't quite ready, so we were given access to the club, which means free dessert, appetizers, and breakfast.

Adjoining rooms had thin walls and could hear a baby crying, but other than that everything was excellent. Highly recommend the outdoor spa in the snow. Highlight of our trip!

Earlier this month I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. I put together a video review of the stay that you can check out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tk6xkcpRezc

The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is located on the Northeast portion of the lake in the small town of Incline Village, Nevada. The hotel is located on the shore of Lake Tahoe and the rooms on high floors of the main building have beautiful views of the lake through the pine three. With the exception of the Hyatt, there really a whole lot going on in Incline Village itself. But the good news is the Hyatt has quite a few amenities on it's own property including a casino, three restaurants, a bar, a spa, and an action sports store. Just be aware that the Hyatt is at least a 30 minute drive to any ski or snowboarding destinations.

The hotel has a neat "lodgey" feeling about it and doesn't look like your typical "cookie cutter" large chain hotel. The furniture in the hotel rooms all appear to be made from "natural looking" wood (see the video for what I mean).

We had dinner at the Lone Eagle Grille which has views directly out to the shores of the lake. The restaurant has a really neat "mountain lodge" atmosphere, and the food is pretty good. The cream of mushroom soup and the black rice risotto were excellent, but the price is certainly high. The bill for two at the restaurant came out to be about $100.

Self Parking and Valet Parking are both available at the hotel, and are "included" in the $25/day resort fee. Something comforting to know during snow is the hotel valet will also sell and install snow chains on your car for $80 ($50 to buy the chains, $30 to install.

Overall, I had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, and would recommend it to other travelers that are planning a trip to the area.

My wife and I have stayed here many times. This place simply rocks and never disappoints. We've been in all types of rooms and have enjoyed them all. If you splurge or get a lucky upgrade to the lakeside cottages, they are truly special in my opinion.

The property is beautiful. They have nailed the mountain lodge look and feel. The pool and hot tubs are awesome. The restaurants are all good and the Lone Eagle Grill is one of my favorite places in the world to eat. We've done Christmas Eve dinner there a couple times and it feels very special.

We got a great deal during Christmas break. We were welcomed with champagne at the reception followed by complimentary chocolate covered strawberries and another bottle of sparkling wine in the room. This place has an amazing spa and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the open air jacuzzi with snow surrounding us. It was an exiceptional contrast, but truly worth it. There was free shuttle to diamond ski resort, free valet parking(totally worth it when your car is covered with snow;)).

I was extremely impressed with the services- very helpful staff, great casino, amazing services.

Thanks for an awesome time Hyatt Tahoe!

Room Tip: Try to get rooms on the spa side, that's facing the mountains!

We stayed here for a 4 day ski trip. The hotel was excellent, staff extremely friendly; however, there are a multitude of charges and little things that kind of annoyed us. First off, the $25 a night resort fee. I'm not really sure what this is supposed to cover, I would have assumed the sauna, but to access that, it is also a $25 fee, though it is not required like the resort fee is. Therefore, I feel a bit cheated based on the fact that all we did in the hotel was sleep there, but the resort fee still applies. Also, tr absence of a microwave seems to be a ploy to get you to eat at one of their delicious but pricey dining options. Though I believe they would have brought one up if we had asked, I would have liked to have one come with the room.

The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe just completed a $20 + million renovation and it shows. I had an excellent stay and look forward to returning soon.

Great room product with a completely redone interior. If you had to work, which I did, you'll also appreciate the plug and play TV connection, fast wifi and ergonomic desk chair.

The staff were fantastic as well - everyone from the bell hops to the servers went out of their way to make guests feel welcome.

High marks Hyatt!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
A spectacular setting on Lake Tahoe’s north shore with 500 feet of private, lakefront beach. Surrounded by towering pines and mountain greenery; 35 miles to Reno/Tahoe Int’l Airport; 40 miles to South Lake Tahoe Airport. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino was recreated in the classic style of a 1920s alpine grand lodge. Exterior renovations of river rock and shingles complement the natural environment with colors echoing the tradition and sense of history of the original homes built in the Tahoe area. Extensive river rock landscaping and two outdoor fireplaces add to the guests' sense of arrival at the "Old Tahoe-Lodge" style entrance. The resort's Grand Lobby boasts crafted stonework, creating a cozy setting amid the warmth of an oversized double-sided fireplace, rich leather chairs and high-beam ceilings. The 421 guestrooms, including 24 lakeside cottages, have been decorated with natural pine, distressed wood, and leather furnishings, reflecting the setting with autumn colors of moss, brick red and wheat. Included in our Lake Tahoe resort's $60 million transformation was the addition of the Spa Terrace, a new three-story wing adjacent to the main 12-story hotel. Offering 138 luxury guestrooms with views of the Sierra Nevada skyline, the addition provides visitors with private balconies and breathtaking lake views. The Spa Terrace replaces the resort's former Aspen Terrace and overlooks the resort's new swimming pools. ... more   less
