“The time of day actually matters”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

In the middle of the day this place is great. Just before closing time ... not great at all.

Here's why: In the middle of the day, when the lines are long and they're cranking out the food as fast as they can--the tri-tip is moist, and so is the chicken. But if it's a half-hour before closing and you're the only person there ...that tri-tip has been sitting there for hours, and the chicken can't help but be dry, dry, dry.

(When it's dry like that, ask for the barbeque sauce--they have it.)

But whatever you do, order the cucumber salad. No matter what time of day, the cucumber salad was made right there in the kitchen--it's fresh and holds its wonderful bite all day long. I never thought I'd be raving about a cucumber salad of all things, but it really is that good.

Service ... Excellent! Very friendly. Very heplful. Can't be beat.

Ambience ... None at all. If your mother is visiting from out of town, do this as carry out. Do *not* have her sit down at the tables. Really.

Oh yeah, and bring cash. (You remember what cash is, don't you? Paper stuff with pictures of dead Presidents?) Your credit cards don't work here. Well, except maybe to run the ATM machinie.

Go. Nosh. Enjoy. But choose your time of day wisely.

(And remember the cucumber salad.)

“Great place to pick-up food and take home”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

The food here is really good. They do not take credit cards so bring your cash. Next door to the movies in Incline.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

I had read several good reviews on T's Mesquite, so was looking forward to trying it. When we arrived it was difficult to even get inside the door. There were several people waiting, and it was uncomfortable. There are very few tables inside, so we could understand why there are a lot of to-go orders. I ordered the chicken, which was the best option. It was a little greasy and dry, but it had a good flavor. My friends ordered the tri-tip or combination, and they could not even eat it! The restaurant was dirty also. Price was good, but it should have been!

“Not really a great bet, but cheap enough”
Reviewed July 26, 2012 via mobile

The yuçatan chicken was not as spicy as promised. Got the lastone at 8pm!!! The tri-tip beef quesadilla was better. You take out or eat in the grungy interior or the picnic table outside. Personnel very niçe.... No atmosphere at all. Good beer selection... If you want to save money...
No desserts at all! A bakery next door

“Tasty and well-priced”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

I had read the reviews about this restaurant and decided to try it. For a family of five we ordered a whole chicken, tri-tip, and several sides. Everything was flavorful and yummy! I LOVED the cucumber salad and am going to have to figure out how to make it. I suggest not eating there. It's not really set up for that (crowded and more of a take-out). It would be great to take to the beach or back home. My entire family, including my three boys all gave it thumbs up.
