“Local and loving it”

Food is very tasty. We had regular sliders, fish tacos, fries both sweet potato and regular, nutmeg squash soup, an amber ale on tap and a glass of rose wine and all of it was very very good food. Service was spot on and very attentive and we sat in the bar since dinning room was full. Topped it off with after dinner drink and the ice cream sandwiches and coffee and all were wonderful. Excellent food excellent experience. We will return.

“Sounds better than it is.”
Reviewed October 17, 2013 via mobile

I was able to make a quick dinner trip to Incline Village during my business trip to Reno, and I was really excited by the menu of small plates, most of which sounded unique. Unfortunately most of the dishes I had tasted the opposite. It wasn't bad, but was neither complicated nor interesting, and thus disappointing. The gumbo was kind of a mush, the mac n cheese was cheesy and well cooked, but oddly missing any flavor or punch. However, I do have to credit the seared scallops for being expertly done, and slathered in the most delicious buttery sauce ever. So delicious I poured it all into the mac n cheese in hopes of saving the pasta.

Overall, there was nothing wrong, but I left feeling like it could have been so much more than it delivered. Everything was just very one note...

“Good food and knowledgeable staff.”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Each dish was well prepared and the ingredients were very fresh. Based on the other reviews we tried the goat cheese sliders and they are great. We thought the portions were more than ample for tapas, especially for the quality of the ingredients. The wait staff was considerate and unobtrusive. It did get a little loud, but during our meal that was more a result of loud patrons than poor acoustics.

“Some very good, Some OK”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Enjoyed the Scallops and the Fish Tacos very much, the Piquillo Peppers not as much, garlic shrimp was good but not memorable. They have a solid draft beer selection and nice bar atmosphere. We sat in the dining room, next time I think I'd go for drinks and snacks in the bar instead of making a full dinner from the small plates. I'd also try the sliders, which we didn't but they looked good. The service was attentive and checked up after each dish was served.

“Not what we expected”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We found Bite to be overpriced. The portions were indeed traditional tapas size, but the prices were much higher than we normally pay at a tapas restaurant. The waitress brought the wrong dish at one point, and we took a bite of it before we realized it was not one of the things we ordered. When we told our waitress, she removed the dish from our table. This seemed odd; it's not as if it was going to be served to someone else. The food was average. We would not eat here again.
