We just spent the afternoon at Sand Harbor, and "WOW" sums it up! This is part of the Nevada state park system with an entrance fee. Parking fills up early in the summer so be prepared. The beach itself is long, but not a lot of depth. The blue ultra-clear waters, with the boulders rising up, is breathtaking...and then add in the snow tops of the Sierra Nevada range. The beauty of this beach is on par with anything out of the keys or tropic areas I have visited. Snack bar, bathrooms and grill/bar are on the premises, Beware the water is Pacific cold here though.

We have travelled extensively from Australia and were just gob-smacked by the pristine beauty of this place! Crystal clear water and the majesty of the lake surrounded by mountains, - just stunning.

A rare experience and interesting geology too, all beautifully maintained by the State Park and a definite 'must see' for your bucket list!

Simply breathtaking and highly recommended, call in as you drive around Lake Tahoe!

Wonderful view of the lake and gorgeous sandy beach. Super photo op! Even dipped my toes in the cold water of the clear lake.

Simply put, this is the nicest sand beach I've ever seen on the shore of a Lake. The sand is soft and comfortable to walk on barefoot, both in and out of the water. The water is crystal clear and slowly slopes into the lake. Making this place ideal for people of all ages and swimming ability. Huge boulders rise out of the water and provide excellent spots for taking a break, or a picture. There are SUP and Kayak rentals available on the beach. If you are looking to get in the water at Tahoe, this is the place. Do Not forget your camera.

Right up the road from Incline, Sand Harbor has been our favorite beach for 20 years of Tahoe visits. There is plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and a broad and inviting beach. What's not to love?
