Stayed here for two nights while in town for son's soccer tournament. As much as I would like to write a glowing review, just can't since we had just one issue after another. Maybe just bad luck?
It started at check-in. The whole team was staying here so we had a group discount but the desk clerk tried to charge us the full price. I had called in advance & requested a room with 2 queen beds, the room they first assigned us to was a suite so had to go back down to the desk & get that fixed. To make matter worse the desk clerk got crabby with me about it. Once we got settled in to the proper room went to turn on the TV & could find no remote anywhere so called to have one brought up. That as prompt but the batteries were nearly dead in the replacement. Ugh! Next morning go to take a shower & find the shower curtain would slide back open on its own due to the way the bar was mounted on a upward slant (minor nuisance). Then we come back in the afternoon after the games & find that the cleaning staff has left the room only half cleaned- didn't make beds & left cleaning supplies behind in the room. Then my son goes to take a shower & there's no hot water (at 3pm). Called the desk & they first claimed it was due to all the soccer players showering. That seemed suspect & then knew it wasn't right when there still wasn't hot water 2 hours later.
Another issue that was somewhat beyond managements control was on the second night at about 2am there was drunk, belligerent guest banging on the door across the hall and yelling, trying to get someone to let him in. Lots of screaming & profanities that went on for way too long. Found out the next morning he was part of large party that was being hosted in one of the ballrooms. When I went to use the public bathroom near the ballroom that next morning it was completely trashed- vomit in the toilet & on the floor, drink cups all over the place & smelled horrible. Would have thought they would have got it cleaned up by 8am.
So it was just one issue after another. Had there not been all these issues would have rated them a 5. The hotel is very nicely appointed and the complimentary breakfast was awesome, especially the blueberry waffles- real nice touch! They also allowed us to use the lobby/eating area one evening to host a dinner for the players and that was greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Based on other reviews, looks like we just were unlucky & caught them on an off-their-game weekend.
