This is a real gem of a find, well worth the short 10 minute drive from the Strip for tourists. Food is prepared to perfection on wood fired grills and ovens by one of the owners. You have the French trained chef and Egyptian chef for the Mediterranean food. My lady is French Canadian and she knows her French food, and she said it was outstanding. This was our 2nd visit having Cocovan & the mixed grill with French onion soup. The portions are huge, so come hungry, or bring an ice pack and cooler. The size is on the line of Claimjumper or Cheesecake Factory at a lower price. The wine list was very good with excellent prices. Much lower than Claimjumper or Cheesecake Factory which nails you on drinks. Plus their desserts are frozen defrosted~Yuk! Eat fresh!! Having eaten at all the French and Mediterranean places of any quality in Las Vegas and Henderson, I have to say this is the best. You definitely can tell that these chefs work in the gourmet hotel industry and started this as a labor of love. The lamb and lamb shanks are excellent. Spices are very flavorful with excellent French desserts. Not a fancy place with wooden tables and chairs, but it has a nice play area if you bring small children. It does have a French family cafe atmosphere. Try it if you like excellent French & Mediterranean food at reasonable prices. Just hop on I-15 S to the 215 E and get off at Eastern and up the hill past St. Rose Parkway, just past Horizon Ridge behind Domino's Pizza. Go for it! Why eat fast food, or frozen defrosted chain food when you have a chance for gourmet food, at frozen chain prices! They cater too!! In town for a convention or doing convention business? Cater them!

My wife chose the eggs Benedict with me choosing a spinach omelet with mushrooms and cheese. Each entree included breakfast potatoes that were almost as good as those served at Ellis Island. Both dishes were well executed and service was excellent. Our server turned out to be one of the partners that opened in mid-October 2012. Prices are moderate given the high quality of the food.

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, we had a family Sunday brunch at the Bon Chef Cafe. This is a favorite of our family members who live in Henderson, and I understand why. This is a locally-owned, non-chain restaurant, a bit of an anomaly for Las Vegas.. Some of us had breakfast foods, and others had lunch. All the food was freshly-prepared and tasty. I had a first-rate burger on a brioche bun. In addition, to standard American breakfast and sandwich items, there are several Middle-Eastern choices, such as a falafel burger, and hummus. For families with small children, there is a well-equipped play area. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service, although a bit slow, was attentive. I'm certain we will return.

Ate here a couple of times with a friend using a LivingSocial deal. Bright airy environment with a friendly (?family?) team serving. An easy big menu...tasty un-rushed food...a great place to stop by for brunch with parking out front.
