This place is wonderful, beautiful, and accomodating. Would rate it excellant but for a few small things. No coffee pot in room or in the lobby; some communication errors within the staff: front desk could not tell us how to work the safe in the room; need passes to get on their shuttle to the strip; again not passed on to us. Other than that, it's a great place to stay. Not far from the strip but quiet and easy to get there. Would definitely stay there if we ever went back.

Room Tip: Only 17 smoking rooms. Upgrade to a balcony if you smoke.

We returned to the Green Valley Resort and Spa because of their spa. It's a double edged sword giving up our secrets here, but we enjoy the spa pool, massage selection, fitness center, and the overall quietness of an otherwise loud Las Vegas. The staff at the hotel was very responsive to our needs our requests. Navigating their reservation systems was a bit frustrating, but once we got there we were able to fix the problem. We book a cheap room, then requested the $75 upgrade for a ground level room with patio. Sweet! Spacious rooms too!
The spa is well staffed, though we did have a minor issue when we noted that several patrons were disruptive and loud and the staff said "This is Vegas, get used to it". Ouch! The manager comped us a massage. Other than that, we've never had a bad remark from the GVR.
They used to have coffee out in the lobby in the morning for guests, but alas no more. Front desk said we had to go all the way into the casino cafe to get some or call room service. We called room service for $20. It was enough for two to get the day started.
Casino was smoky, didn't have many 21 tables, and the ones they did have all were $25 min tables. Ouch again! Didn't play there.
Good size pool with cabanas and beach, adult clothing optional pool if that's your style but we found it was frequented by males mostly.
Pool service needs to catch up to technology. While at spa pool we ordered drinks and fish tacos for lunch, yet the wait person had to take order then walk all the way back to the main pool to order then later bring our order. If she forgot something such as a straw for your drink, forgettabout it. They need to use touch pads with credit card readers or room charge ability to stream line the process. But the tacos are worth $14 though. 3 yummy tacos with chips. Spa opens at 6am and closes at 8 pm. Great way to be lazy on vacation.
Easy to get to strip, and they do have a shuttle service though we uses the valet parking every time. When I mentioned my car was a Ferrari, they still brought a rental Camry. Alamo accepted it back though.
Though we did encounter some changes from previous stellar stays, the GVR was very responsive to our remarks.
Anyway, we love the GVR and have stayed there several times along with friends, have recommended it to friends like you all the time. We do stay on the strip on occasion, but for us it's the GVR or bust.

Room Tip: See if you can book a cheap room, they add the upgrade. Much less expensive that way.

We chose this hotel as it was away from the busy strip in Vegas. It is however not too far. A trip only takes about 15 mins to the blvd. the rooms are large and very nicely done. Only thing we would have liked was a in room coffee making facilities. Pool area very pretty and tastefully done. If you like listening to the music they play then this is ok. If you don't then head for the spa. We didn't know this was available in the hotel price, so missed this the first couple of days. However once found it is was a true oasis away from it all. You can use the pool area and the steam room. Lots of food choices at the hotel casino area, or in the surrounding area too. We would def come back.

Location - ±10mi from the Strip. GREAT if you're looking to be away from the hustle and bustle and traffic of the Strip. Very quiet and secluded.
Room - we stayed at the West Tower (#3050) for 2 nights for a weekend getaway, super comfy bed, huge room, very tasteful decor both bedroom and bathroom. Flawless!
Pool - beach entry with sand, great place to hang out, it was a bit crowded when we were there, but not too much that we could not relax. Lounger were comfy and the they ran out pretty quick, so be sure to get in the pool area early. They also have cabanas to hang out with their private pool, perfect if you're travelling in a group.
Casino - GREAT, not too over crowded, can play comfortable! They played great music in the background as well.
Restaurant - went to the Oyster bar, surprisingly excellent and fresh oyster from around the country! Worth the try!
Staff & service - very nice and curteous people! They also provide free valet parking.
Did not try the spa nor have breakfast there, but we will next!
All in all, we will back because we had a fantastic stay!

GVR has very nice rooms and ours seemed very quiet even with neighbors in adjoining rooms. The pool had a very friendly staff, food and beverage service and a great atmosphere. The place was very clean and amenities above average in the room itself.

Nice hotel if you dont mind the location as its quite far from the strip and all. However they do provide free Shuttle services to and from airport and the strip. Also they have a wide variety of restaurant and shops selection, and grocery is just a couple minutes away. The hotel provides free wifi, they ask you to make an agreement and pay online but it is actually free.
As for the pool its better than expected. In fact i would say its suitable for both adults and kids.
The only thing i wasnt happy with this hotel is the room service. A lady knocked a few times on the door early in the morning asking if we need "mini bar" or something (i cant recall what exactly did she say as i was sleeping, but im sure the word 'bar' is mentioned). Without permission she unlocked the door, repeated herself a few times and left. Although she didnt walk into our room, i was awoken by her. I cant believe how rude she was.

Stayed here for a business conference. Conference was at hotel also. Beautiful, expansive hotel. Visited in February & never went outside! Gorgeous rooms, great casino with lots of gaming options, great buffet, love the options of fast food restaurants. Only draw backs: 1) Very confusing moving around hotel! Kept getting lost going to & from my room. Took forever to find downstairs conference rooms also. 2) Shuttle to & from airport. Limited room on shuttle. Got left behind at airport because it was full & had to take taxi, $30 taxi fare. Plus side is that when going back to airport, if you arrive 30 minutes before scheduled shuttle you can pick up guaranteed seating pass. Additionally, if you want to hit the strip, they have a scheduled shuttle that will take you!
