“Conference in Vegas!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

Our company had some 200 delegates stay at Green Vally Ranch for 3 nights. It is certainly a quality establishment. My room was impeccable, and I also got to sample the delights of a suite via an "afterparty" that erupted spontaneously one night. Very swish, pool table and all. Food and service throughout was excellent. Staff are attentive and relaxed - not stiff or standoffish. I'm not a gambler but did spend time very late one night watching some of my colleagues blow their annual bonuses : ) . If that is your thing you are well catered for at GVR. Part of the deal is that you will find yourself forever getting lost in this labarynthine establishment. The feeling is "you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave..." to borrow from the Eagles. GVR suited us perfectly for our company conference. Recommended.

I stayed at the Green Valley Ranch and Resort while attending a conference. It is a beautiful resort with many amenities, The rooms are nice, spacious and comfortable. The facilities are top notch, including the spa. My only dissapointment was there was no coffee shop or Starbucks in the hotel. You had to walk to the casino, quite a hike! Or, I guess you could pay $20 plus for a small pot of coffee.
There were several great restaurants on the property (in the casino) We tried Hanks Steakhouse. It was superb. So was the Sushi, Grand Cafe and Italian.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a mini suite. Worth it for the extra space and balcony

The locals call it GVR. Nested in an actual green valley (Las Vegas means The Springs.) This resort , casino and spa is quaint, well managed and soothing. If you want a room that opens to the grand swimming pool and spa - the have many. Good eats and plenty of fun gambling. Spent most of the morning waiting for family to show. Spent most of the time at The Drop Bar. I sat at the bar , people were friendly and so was the wait staff. Make sure you get the comp card and get on the GVR email list. I was sent a room special for a suite upgrade for $6 (six). Take shuttle from Mandaly Bay and relax , really.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing pool.

First of all, as soon as you walk in the smell of Spa and exotic oils really made me fall in love with this place. After a very quick check in I got to my room and it was beautiful. I went there for a work trip for 6 days and i was really happy the company picked that place. Is not on the vegas strip but is relatively close and they have free transportation. The pools were great and the employees were nice, friendly!!
The only thing I found pricey was the breakfast!! it was $29.00 for your traditional eggs and pancakes with juice and toast..
I am planning on going back to vegas with my faily and I will stay at this place for sure!

Stayed at GVR for 1 night. The hotel is very nice, clean, and impressive. The room was great, very clean, and spacious. Hotel staff were awesome and very helpful. I had a great dinner at a restaurant in the casino. Overall I really enjoyed my stay, and would stay there again anytime!

This was built and operated as one of the best resorts off the strip. It was truly once world class. 1) Today their website is outdated and will not let you book more than one room at a time.
2) They have facebook promotions that are posted with promo codes that are out of date.
3) They have a non optional $25 + tax per room per day RESORT Fee. This fee includes wi-fi, but its so slow you can barely check email so its an additional $17.99 per day for wifi. If you would like to use some of the other options on the resort fee - you better make a reservation or appointment (because they are not available at your convenience).....
4) Also they offer their casino database customers significantly higher rates than their Expedia website....
5) The front desk manager - Donna was so rude she literally got into a fight with me because her system was not refreshed - she would not give me a receipt and said everything was comped, but I just charged massages to the room. Melanie offered me a late check out, but housekeeping knocked on the door anyway.
6) The craps table dealer asked me for a tip, and the boxman said nothing to turn him down because I had a good roll.
7) Just look at the pictures the maintenance cannot keep up with the design...
8) they used to have an awesome bar called "the Whiskey"- but it closed the signs on property havent changed....
9) Walls are all scraped up in hallways
10) furniture in rooms are damaged - scratched - look
Not going back to stay, until it's managed better.....

Check in was slow, they sold me an upgrade to executive suite for an additional $100 per night and still got into room at 5pm (checkin at 230pm). The room was large, looked good. The phone did not work, the curtain was ripped on top and dirty. Bathroom again expansive but shower head was one from my college dorm room. It seemed the hotel spent money on renovation but forgot about buying new fixtures! I would never go back here again
