“New Hotel off the Beaten Path / Good Value”
Reviewed July 9, 2010

A new / clean hotel with modern decor. A medium single room suite with split restroom (nice touch for 2 people). Basic continental breakfast that is well presented. Location is at the end of the last building cycle in Henderson - convenient if you basic knowledge of the area. The room pricing at present is lower than similar hotels. Grade B+

I loved this hotel. We wanted a place to stay upon arrival in Las Vegas, but that was a bit out of the city itself, enroute to the Grand Canyon.
Perfect. The breakfast was tremendous, we thought.

We stayed here one night while on vacation. Check in was easy and we were very pleased with the decor. When we settled in we noticed there was hair around the toilet, in bathtub and a dead cockroach in bathroom. Dust was on tv and microwave. They immediately switched us to another room. In second room, the bathroom looked like it had been cleaned but there were toddler handprints all over the full size mirror in dressing area( we don't have toddlers). We didn't complain second time because we wanted to get rest and didn't want to have to change rooms again. Very disappointed in this Marriot hotel!

The first room I checked into had sticky residue from previous occupant's soda in refrig, dried on coffee on desktop and blood on the commode seat, I had completely unpacked! They gave me a second room, said it had been "checked" this one featured a used coffee lid in the refrig, hair in the bathtub and water left in the coffee pot by previous occupant. I was too exhausted to move to a THIRD room. Went to Walmart, bought huge spray disinfectant and sprayed the whole room. Location is good, many dining choices, close to stores etc. easy access to freeways, all Vegas areas. I had a handicapped room, only had three tiny drawers, bathroom setup is odd, sink not in with commode, have to go into a very small area to wash your hands. Odd design. This hotel only changes your sheets every FOUR days, this is not mentioned on their website, so beware. The fridge and microwave are very small, if you need a kitchen, don't choose this hotel. Staff helpful with directions, very courteous. Breakfast was outstanding, staff kept the food area clean, but trash cans were overflowing every morning I was there. There is no outside area here to sit and read, relax, you must go across the parking lot to use Town Suites, they have a few chairs outdoors. I used the outdoor pool across the lot too, but that could be bothersome if you have small children. Also, the "laundry" area has only two washers for the entire facility, so don't plan to do any washing in the evening, try to get there during the day when the business folks are out. If you can get past the poor housekeeping, and keeping your sheets for four days in the desert, then perhaps this hotel will work for you, personally I will not return.

We stayed here overnight while traveling. We had our 3 kids with us. We let them know we would be getting in from the airport late in the evening, which was no problem at all. This is a new hotel and is nice and clean. We are always appreciative of breakfast being included. Our kids eat a big breakfast. The breakfast was a great treat before we got on the road.

Our one night stay here was totally ruined by what sounded like a herd of elephants in the room above us. Constant noise, sound of heavy footsteps, perhaps more solid insulation would have diminished the problem. We disliked too, the lack of darkened window blinds, no outdoor pool and the rather isolated location with very limited dining opportunities. On the plus side, there is free computer access, complimentary breakfast and a good size modern bedroom with multi channel flat screen TV.
Good for a night or possibly two, but no more.
