We have lived about 3 miles from Lake Las Vegas and it has gone downhill from the start. It is a beautiful village but no one goes unless there is a jazz show on the lake. I don't know how the remaining business stay open. The casino just closed again. I guess it was a good idea in the beginning but it looks like it just failed. Oh and the golf course as you go in is closed and the grass is brown

This place could be really cool if half the buildings were not empty... it's a pretty area and there are a few shops and places to eat but a big disappointment. Even the main casino there is closed.

Loved Lake Las Vegas - I can imagine how beautiful it was when it opened before the recession - now most of boutiques are closed and business is way way down but I heard they were excited about the golf course reopening in the spring - this Mediterranean piece of paradise is like you are in a small European village - they obviously had great plans for this area before the recession hit and I hope it revitalizes soon. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of the strip - only 17 miles away - go check out the beauty, the restaurants, hotels, etc.

This is a pretty cool place. I guess you can call it an upscale burb if you want, but I love to drive through here to see the awesome architecture and the views of the Las Vegas area are awesome from out East!

We had a wonderful late lunch there. Great waiter, Kamel (sp) who was very personable & attentive without hovering. The food was very good and everyone agreed 'best lunch spot in Vegas'. Next time we'll come for dinner.
