I was at the Westin for a trade show and I have nothing but good things to say about the spaces and accommodations that are available here. The room was large with a King bed, stone countertops and tile shower. The hotel itself looked like a Spanish Vila, the road was lined in palm trees and the tarra cotta roof and adobe looking finish made me fell like I was some place away form it all.
The trade show was in November, so it was quiet to start with, but the grounds over all were serine. There were several pools to enjoy and kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boats to play with. I unfortunately didn't have the time to enjoy much of the offerings. This might be a great place to take my GF on a week end get away, if she wasn't interested in going to the strip. It is about 30 min away from the airport, which was the only bummer from my stand point, but an Uber or super shuttle makes pretty quick work of the distance.
Over all it is a high quality hotel, great staff and great amenities.

Room tip: Ask for a view of the lake!

After hiking Zion for days.... we escaped to the Westin for a little R & R. It was lovely (reminded us of the Westin Dawn Beach in St Maarten)..... the grounds, the lake, the pools, Ricks Cafe, the bar and lounge, the shops and our room.... were outstanding. It was a great location for a side trip to the Hoover Dam and an easy drive to the airport. Such a lovely oasis away from the strip....only wish we’d have stayed longer.

This is a lovely resort hotel about 30 mins from Las Vegas airport. It's not really near any of the usual Las Vegas attractions but those are probably not what you'd come to this hotel for. The hotel has very spacious rooms, the excellent Westin style bedding and all the usual amenities of a 4 star hotel. The main attraction of this hotel are the outdoor activities, comprising of two massive pools, great waterslide, kayaks, all kinds of ball games, mini golf etc. The pools are probably the centerpieces and if you are traveling with kids, they'll be busy all day. One of the pools is shallow throughout, which is also great for people with small kids. In addition, there is a small wading pool for babies. We also saw people use hobby drones within the compound, the volleyball court being the landing site.

The downsides were that the pools, especially the lower pool got very busy and there were quite a few rowdy kids who weren't restrained by anyone. The hotel might benefit from an hourly 5 or 10 minute timeout for kids are is practiced elsewhere. The other downside was that the main breakfast was somewhat disappointing for a resort style hotel. It's somewhere at the level of a Springhill Suites or something along those lines, but unlike Springhill etc, you have to pay for it. After the first day, we switched to the Starbucks style coffee shop for breakfast and that was fine. There are a few nice restaurants too, which is great as driving elsewhere will take about an hour for the return trip. Lovely hotel overall and great for sports and kids. We were there during the summer, not sure how much there is to do in winter, but if you are just looking for a high quality hotel, great room, nice dinners etc, it would still be a great choice.

We were only there for 2 days, but we wouldn't have minded a longer stay. Rooms and facilities were top notch. Would have loved to have a tub in the room instead of just a shower, but overall very nice. Didn't eat there, so I can't attest to the food, but the drinks were nice and strong.

Room tip: I think all the rooms were good.
