“Fantastic Resort”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

We had a business trip to Las Vegas and had the please of staying at the M resort, it is North of the strip by about a 10 min drive. The hotel runs a shuttle to the strip and the sirport, making getting around very easy. The hotel staff is very freindly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and have an executive flare. the washrooms are almost as big as the bedroom, floor to ceiling windows offer a wonderful view of the strip. The Resaurants are fabulous and the food plentiful and satisfy the taste buds. The resort offers 2 pools and outdoor entertainment area, as well access to a 4 mile running/bike track behind the resort. The spa offers a nice variety of services and or a small fee you can gain access to the resort fitness center. Parking is complimentary if you arrive by car. WiFi is available and there is an adequate size casino which is off to the side of the main resort which lends for a nice stressfree enviroment where you don't have to cross the casino floor to get around in the hotel. We loved it here and would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor facing the stipr, beautiful view!

I have been to this casino many times over the past few years and the casino is very well maintained. It is very contemporary and clean. Each time we visit the casino we go to the dinner buffet and have not been disappointed and the food maintains a very good consistency. Be prepared to wait or go early. If you are fortunate enough to get VIP passes you can avoid the longer lines. Also if you sign up for the reward card and play there, you will receive occasional offers in the mail for free buffets. The buffet on Sundays is seafood and higher priced at $40 per person. During dinner the buffet includes all you can drink wine or beer...both have good selections. The desert area has coffees that you can get shots of Kailua or baileys.

We stayed at the M for the super bowl reserved the private room at the buffet. rooms are very nice, modern, tv in the mirror in the bathroom. The buffet as always was very good one of the best in Vegas, if you want to stay off the strip the M is a great place to do it.

My teen daughter and I stayed here April 4-7 2013. Free shuttle to and from airport was a nice perk. Free shuttle into the strip worked well for day trip shopping and/or seeing an evening show. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and luxurious rooms. We arrived at 9 a.m and were able to check in upon arrival- an extra unexpected bonus. Plenty of dining options-- favorites were Hash House and Baby Cakes. Our 7th floor was very quiet at night- never heard any loud partying or people in the halls late at night. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Vegas (previously stayed at Mirage and Mandalay Bay).
Only the smaller pool was open this month (when the big pool opens next month, the smaller one becomes the over 21 pool.. I was told by a local that weekdays the adult pool will have a “european style sunbathing option" weekdays, but weekends it’s still tops on) The smaller pool was lovely and a diverse group of sunbathers-- from families to the “young hot 20 somethings” and some locals mixed in. We sat on the far end down by the hot tub and found it the best spot-- full sun and least crowded because it only fits 6 chairs across. There are about 16 cabanas for rent around the pool-- on Sunday maybe 8 of them were rented and of those only 2 were doing some heavy partying/boozing. At one point a couple got a little raunchy in their PDA and a security person quickly went over and said something and they stopped. I’m sure as it gets warmer the pool will get wilder but I thought it was so much classier than what you would find over spring break on the strip. Did not use the spa or exercise facilities on this trip but we would have been charged $15/day to access the gym.
We loved getting pastries and coffee in the morning at BabyCakes. Hash House had excellent, high quality food. Service was a bit slow given there were plenty of empty tables whenever chose to dine. We tended to opt to come back to eat at the hotel for dinner rather than pay more for tourist/crowded/overpriced restaurants on the strip. At Hash House, the portions are shamefully, wastefully huge at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Consider sharing/splitting entrees especially if you aren’t super hungry. Ask the waiter before ordering. I ate half the sage fried chicken sandwich and on a different lunch my daughter and I split the Chop Salad and it was plenty for the two of us for lunch.

Luxurious rooms with your choice of a city or desert view. Television in the bedroom of course but also a t.v. integrated in the bathroom mirror that you won't notice until you turn it on. Hotel has plenty of gambling opportunities and several interesting restaurants. The buffet is one of the best in town.

Room Tip: If you don't want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas strip but still...

The hotel is far from The Strip. We checked-in for 4D3N on a Saturday afternoon so we expect a lot of guests. The lobby is very impressive and very distinct in its design. The front desk staff was not so informal but very accommodating. After a short while, we were shown our room on the seventh floor. My, we were mesmerized. The room is so big with two queen-size beds accentuated with a breath taking view by the huge glass panel window. The first thing that my husband checked was the TV. A personalized welcome note greets the guests when the wide flat screen TV is switched on. The first thing I checked was the bathroom. The bathroom is big to accommodate a big bath tub, a separate shower room, a toilet and two sink areas where a smaller flat screen TV is embedded on the mirror. The clothes compartment is very functional too. With our stay, I was particularly fond of the naturally contoured pillows. Customer service is excellent. Once we forgot to remove the energy saving card inside our room. The do not disturb sign was switched on all the while. When we came back we called the housekeeping right away and the room was cleaned promptly. Their buffet food is the best.

This is our first time staying at the M resort as our prior visits have always been to the other "Big" Resort in Henderson, on "Green Valley Parkway". I had heard from others when I read reviews on Trip Advisor and was taken back by such positive reviews in terms of customer service, clean and modern, wonderful casino and away from the hustle and craziness of the Strip. Everything you read will be true. We were taken back by the customer service everywhere in the hotel, from the lobby to pool staff, casino and house keeping and the overall value as far as the room rates. If you like being close to the strip but not staying on it, this is the best option of any resort within 10 minutes of the strip.

Lets break it down;

Location: The M resort is about 10 minutes South of Vegas and can be reached easily from the I15. If you do not have a rental car, the resort has a shuttle that will take you to the Fashion Show mall on the north end of the strip multiple times throughout the day. Valet is available for no extra charge (tip required), however there is more than enough self parking that has easy access through the casino. Outside of the M, there are few restaurants or any other amenities with direct access, however within a 10 minute drive on Rose Parkway that fronts the M there are multiple restaurants and the usual stores etc.

Hotel: This hotel has very modern decor through out starting with the lobby which has marble floors, very cool lighting and amazingly open. Dining options are very good from the best buffet in Vegas and I can say the best food as we have tried many, along with an upscale decor unlike many typical Vegas buffets. We did try Martinellis, the Italian restaurant and the menu is very good, food quality excellent and the value I thought for a family of four was very good. My only complaint on the dining front would be that as we had teenagers we were not able go to Burgers and Brews which is off the main lobby with a great view over the pools and close to the casino as no one under 21 was allowed.

Rooms: Rooms are ultra modern and extremely clean. We were on the 10th floor facing North, the options are only North and South, request North as this is over the pools and you can see the strip in the distance. As far as comfort the beds are certainly the most comfortable we have ever slept in any hotel in all our travels. The bathrooms have an amazing tiled large shower and large tub with a his and hers vanity along with a TV built into the mirror. If you want privacy from the rest of the guests in the room, just hit the button and very cool motorized blinds close at your finger tips.

Pools: Upon our arrival we were disappointed to hear that the main large pool was not going to open until May 1st. The M has two pools, a smaller Dream Pool lined with cabanas and the very much larger main pool. We were happy to hear that the Dream Pool which is the smaller of the two was opening during spring break, that was a bonus. As far as I am concerned we have been in Vegas on many occasions during spring break, the weather is usually very good, all pools should be open. Back to the Dream Pool. This pool is ultra exclusive we were told in the summer months with charges for the cabanas of around a $ 400.00 minimum charge. Thank god it wasn't the summer as we wouldn't be there. The Dream Pool has full bar and food service, cabanas that have amenities such as sofas, fridge and freezer and flat screen TV. TIP-Be sure to ask if you can use the cabana and if there is a minimum charge. Many times they are not being used and for a "Minimum" meaning spending on food and drinks which most people do anyway, you may get the use of the cabana as we did for the entire 7 day stay for about a $60.00 minimum per day.

Casino: As far as Casinos we enjoyed this one the most. An amazing variety of games await with a very large area. The Casino gets very busy and smokey on the weekends with locals, however overall the H VAC system does a good job of keeping the area clean and comfortable. Remember to join the players club as they have one of the best points programs for free play and food at the best buffet in Vegas each and everyday. Also if you do play in the casino, be sure to check with a casino host prior to you leaving to see if anything can be comped, your never know. For about every $1000.00 you spend in the casino you can be comped against your room or F&B about $100.00, might as well leave LV with as much as you can.

Room Tip: Talk to a casino host and ask for a casino rate. Request a room on the highest floor facing the Nor...
