The hotel is far from The Strip. We checked-in for 4D3N on a Saturday afternoon so we expect a lot of guests. The lobby is very impressive and very distinct in its design. The front desk staff was not so informal but very accommodating. After a short while, we were shown our room on the seventh floor. My, we were mesmerized. The room is so big with two queen-size beds accentuated with a breath taking view by the huge glass panel window. The first thing that my husband checked was the TV. A personalized welcome note greets the guests when the wide flat screen TV is switched on. The first thing I checked was the bathroom. The bathroom is big to accommodate a big bath tub, a separate shower room, a toilet and two sink areas where a smaller flat screen TV is embedded on the mirror. The clothes compartment is very functional too. With our stay, I was particularly fond of the naturally contoured pillows. Customer service is excellent. Once we forgot to remove the energy saving card inside our room. The do not disturb sign was switched on all the while. When we came back we called the housekeeping right away and the room was cleaned promptly. Their buffet food is the best.

This is our first time staying at the M resort as our prior visits have always been to the other "Big" Resort in Henderson, on "Green Valley Parkway". I had heard from others when I read reviews on Trip Advisor and was taken back by such positive reviews in terms of customer service, clean and modern, wonderful casino and away from the hustle and craziness of the Strip. Everything you read will be true. We were taken back by the customer service everywhere in the hotel, from the lobby to pool staff, casino and house keeping and the overall value as far as the room rates. If you like being close to the strip but not staying on it, this is the best option of any resort within 10 minutes of the strip.

Lets break it down;

Location: The M resort is about 10 minutes South of Vegas and can be reached easily from the I15. If you do not have a rental car, the resort has a shuttle that will take you to the Fashion Show mall on the north end of the strip multiple times throughout the day. Valet is available for no extra charge (tip required), however there is more than enough self parking that has easy access through the casino. Outside of the M, there are few restaurants or any other amenities with direct access, however within a 10 minute drive on Rose Parkway that fronts the M there are multiple restaurants and the usual stores etc.

Hotel: This hotel has very modern decor through out starting with the lobby which has marble floors, very cool lighting and amazingly open. Dining options are very good from the best buffet in Vegas and I can say the best food as we have tried many, along with an upscale decor unlike many typical Vegas buffets. We did try Martinellis, the Italian restaurant and the menu is very good, food quality excellent and the value I thought for a family of four was very good. My only complaint on the dining front would be that as we had teenagers we were not able go to Burgers and Brews which is off the main lobby with a great view over the pools and close to the casino as no one under 21 was allowed.

Rooms: Rooms are ultra modern and extremely clean. We were on the 10th floor facing North, the options are only North and South, request North as this is over the pools and you can see the strip in the distance. As far as comfort the beds are certainly the most comfortable we have ever slept in any hotel in all our travels. The bathrooms have an amazing tiled large shower and large tub with a his and hers vanity along with a TV built into the mirror. If you want privacy from the rest of the guests in the room, just hit the button and very cool motorized blinds close at your finger tips.

Pools: Upon our arrival we were disappointed to hear that the main large pool was not going to open until May 1st. The M has two pools, a smaller Dream Pool lined with cabanas and the very much larger main pool. We were happy to hear that the Dream Pool which is the smaller of the two was opening during spring break, that was a bonus. As far as I am concerned we have been in Vegas on many occasions during spring break, the weather is usually very good, all pools should be open. Back to the Dream Pool. This pool is ultra exclusive we were told in the summer months with charges for the cabanas of around a $ 400.00 minimum charge. Thank god it wasn't the summer as we wouldn't be there. The Dream Pool has full bar and food service, cabanas that have amenities such as sofas, fridge and freezer and flat screen TV. TIP-Be sure to ask if you can use the cabana and if there is a minimum charge. Many times they are not being used and for a "Minimum" meaning spending on food and drinks which most people do anyway, you may get the use of the cabana as we did for the entire 7 day stay for about a $60.00 minimum per day.

Casino: As far as Casinos we enjoyed this one the most. An amazing variety of games await with a very large area. The Casino gets very busy and smokey on the weekends with locals, however overall the H VAC system does a good job of keeping the area clean and comfortable. Remember to join the players club as they have one of the best points programs for free play and food at the best buffet in Vegas each and everyday. Also if you do play in the casino, be sure to check with a casino host prior to you leaving to see if anything can be comped, your never know. For about every $1000.00 you spend in the casino you can be comped against your room or F&B about $100.00, might as well leave LV with as much as you can.

Room Tip: Talk to a casino host and ask for a casino rate. Request a room on the highest floor facing the Nor...

The rooms at M are exceptionally large, beautiffuly furnished in modern soothing decor. The buffet is truly an outstanding bargain. I'm no fan generally of casino resorts, but this one's a gem. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back again.

Las Vegas was the 3rd leg of our West Coast USA trip and it was undeniably the best of all - all thanks to M Resort Spa Casino.

Value:
We booked via booking.com and it cost US$673 (inclusive of taxes) for a twin-sharing room for 6D5N.

Location:
Though it's located a distance from The Strip area, however, travellers wanting a good night sleep, not wanting to fret over traffic or simply looking to chill, this is the hotel for you.

Service:
1 word - impeccable. Right from the valet parker to the receptionist to the bell boy to the waiter/waitresses (from Marinellis Italian, Hash House a GO GO and Anthonys Brew and Burgers) to the pool waitresses. The service M Resort Spa Casino present is totally out of the world 5 star. Every customer that walks in will be blown away by how each staff serves them with such respect.

Rooms:
Twin sharing rooms are HUGE (as compared to that in San Francisco and Los Angeles) - able to not only fit in 2 queen beds but there's 2 sinks areas in the bathroom.

Food:
We only tried the food from Deli, Marinellis Italian, Hash House a GO GO and Anthonys Brew and Burgers. All reasonably priced which I give a huge thumbs up to the management, given the fact that the hotel is located quite a distance away from The Strip area, and they did not jack up the prices. Portions at Hash House a GO GO are humogous - I had trouble finishing a portion of the fried pork sandwich over 2 days!

The pool:
Absolutely lovely! There are not only deckchairs in the pool but also at the corners of the pool area, there are lounge rooms where families or groups of friends can hang out in. For those looking solely for a tan, there ample deckchairs are placed in front of the pool area facing the hotel.

The hotel was new and stylish. There was a tv in the bathroom--u can watch tv when enjoying a hot bath. Bed very comfortable. I fell asleep quickly! The room also gave a nice night view to the Strip from a distance. The swimming pool looked so classy though I didn't try. We arrived in Good Friday Sunday, buffet was $49.9. A lot of varieties but the taste was just okay. The seafood such as cocktail shrimps and snow crab legs tasted fresh though. Rooms of improvement for the soup -- the tofu in the miso soup is supposed to be cut in tiny cubes, and the hot and soup soup looked bad (though tasted okay). The lava cake was good. Chardonnay (free) was also good. The hotel was 15 miles from the Strip. If you want a relaxed stay away from crowds, this would be a good choice. Oh and parking is free, too. That's particularly nice for a city which charges you for everything.

Such good rooms, and the pool area is magic. The service was always outstanding and the food always great to. Met plenty of locals on the gaming floor - was less tacky than casinos full of tourists. That said, only reason it is not 5 stars is the location as it is a decent cab ride to the strip.

Room Tip: Look towards then strip, not the desert.
