“Perfect for Passing Through”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

My wife and I were on a road trip and stopped here as a halfway point. Very clean. "Dave" the owner is a nice guy.

The room had a microwave, fridge and freezer and was plenty big for sleeping one night.

We stopped here on our way to Idaho for one night and found a nice clean room, comfortable bed, and a nice bathroon and shower. The small refrigerator worked very well. The staff was friendly too. We had a queen bed and a room, that was big enough for what we needed. Had we been planning to stay more than one night, it would have been too small. Everything was very clean, and this was a major plus to us! Be aware that there is no elevator, so you must climb 17 steps if you are on the second floor. Breakfast was advertised, but I only saw two empty cereal dispensers and there was no coffee available when I went downstairs at 7:45 a.m. on a Wednesday morning. Our rating above is due to the room being so nice.

Thank you for writing this review. I am deeply sorry about the breakfast. A new law just passe and we need a health permit and are working on that. Thank you again for this review.

We stopped here after a long day of driving and very tired, and "Dave" at the front desk used his humor to put a smile on our faces. He was very pleasant. Our room was very nice. There was plenty of room, a microwave, mini-fridge, separate sink in the kitchen area with cabinets, and an ironing board & iron. There were 2 complimentary waters & some cookies. In the bathroom, there was a basket with a razor, toothbrush, mouthwash, lotion, and soap, shampoo and conditioner (much more than you get at most hotels). The room was quiet, and we got a good night's sleep before being back on the road. Dave really knows how to run a motel. He was even teaching his young son how to make a hotel reservation (training him early for a future career).
If you are expecting a new hotel chain, you can stay at Holiday Inn Express for $140/night; but if you want a clean, roomy place to stay and a good night sleep for $60, go see Dave! I would definitely return.

My spouse & I stayed one night on our way to Las Vegas. Both of us think we could have done better. The room was smallish, not really big enough for two queen beds.It was clean, though, and beds were comfortable. Management provided no shampoo, lotion, conditioner. There was a fridge and microwave. Staff was friendly. No continental breakfast was offered, although the sign clearly states it is--only coffee with powdered creamer. We opted for this accommodation because it was less expensive than our usual choice--wish we'd made a different selection.

We were disappointed by our stay here. We had a dog and there were only two rooms available for having a pet. These rooms were located at the far end of the inside hall next to the street and at the opposite end of the building from where the pet area was. The auxiliary outside door at the end of the hall next to our room was constantly left open as it didn't close automatically and there was no key access to either door at both ends of the building. This made us uneasy. No continental breakfast was served as advertised on the sign by the street. The carpet seam in the hall was not held down properly and was sticking up thus making it a tripping hazard. Maintenance issues. The beds were comfortable and the room was modest but clean.

Made reservation through the Internet which provided a good rate. Pros: Friendly reception at check-in, clean rooms, very fast Internet; cons: no continental breakfast. Overall a nice place to stay and I'd recommend it to others.

My wife and parents stayed at here on April 24th. The room was clean, the shower did have peeling paint. Even though it was close to the highway, it was pretty quiet. The biggest let down was the lack of advertised continental breakfast. We were informed after checking in that the hotel did not have a permit to serve food.
