Make no mistake. This is not a luxury hotel by any means. But, if you are open to an experience and just need a good nights sleep this is the place.
Enjoyed our stay and the dinner as well.

You have to be in the mood for a historic hotel to stay in this place, and willing to put up with the lack of usual motel amenities. The noise level was a real drawback. People doing gardening work outside carried on loud conversations outside, and I finally managed to fall asleep around midnight despite a drunk woman singing along (badly) to 70's hits in the bar downstairs. There is no AC , at least in the room I was in, so the open window beckoned in additional noise from the many diesel trucks and loud cars favored by the locals. Kind of fun if you want local flavor, but you'd have to be pretty flexible to enjoy it.

My wife and I went for two nights last Labor Day weekend. We found out about this place from I believe KOLO TV in Reno, NV about great local getaways. We enjoyed our room which was clean and decorated in period furniture. The owners were both very very nice and the restaurant had the best lamb and I had the steak which was great. It just so happened we were there for the pit roast which was fun. There is no bathroom in the room we had, it is down the hall. It was all very clean and a great experience. We will be coming back more often to enjoy the food and the great bar down stairs.
*Tip GO dow the street is a bar that is open for lunch and dinner. Their burgers are some of the best I have had, and the service was great. It is a great place to stop and get a bite and get some drinks, while exploring downtown Fallon NV.
