A basic sort of motel room: older decor, a little worn, everything in working order, bed comfortable enough. Free WiFi. Be sure to make reservations: the motel is popular with drillers (mine exploration workers); during part of our stay, the motel was completely full. The walls are a bit thin, so we heard the drillers getting up at 5:00 a.m. to go to work. Happily, everybody in the motel was focused on sleeping at night, so we did get a decent night's sleep.

Great location: right across the street from the market and one of the few open restaurants in town. We'd stay there again; it's a good value.

We were planning a weekehnd in Eureka, NV for the Fair and Rodeo and made reservatiohns at this Lodge months in advance. We get up there on a Friday night and are told we don't have reservations. Rumor around town was this Lodge rented the rooms out to Minors wanting weekly rates and didn't even try to call and let us know. There was no where else in town available. I strongly urge you to NOT TRUST this establishment or you too could find yourself with no room. Very, very poor management at this place.

We found our room clean, nothing fancy at all but fair for the price. Would not dream to pay $120 for a Best Western in this town. Close to Raine's market and La Fiesta restaurant. When i called to ask the desk how to turn on the shower (it was on of those weird pull down ones) she was super nice & offered to come up and do it for me. This place is like a motel 6, but what do you expect--this is the middle of Nevada and you get what you pay for, people!

just horrible, bar none. the front desk put us in a bottom floor room with construction workers and residence upstairs that were up at all hours of the night making every kind of noise. they even had a dog that barked!! there were no traveler discounts available and all rooms were a 'flat' rate that was just not worth not getting ANY sleep. holes in the wall...... a heater that had to be plugged in and unplugged to operate it.....a doorkey that was really tricky get the door open.......i could go on. my advice is pay the best western price down the road or drive to another town

Room Tip: go elsewhere

If you have absolutely no expectations then this place will be okay. There was a big screen TV but it was set at an angle such that you couldn't see the picture clearly unless you were standing directly in front of it. If you viewed it sitting on the bed anyone wearing black looking like they had a cape on and if they had black hair it looked like a helmut. It just needed to be tilted down but it was fixed to the wall so couldn't be moved. For me this was very disappointing because I was traveling alone and like to wtach TV in the evening. The bed was hard and lumpy. It was really just like an old Motel 6; worn and kind of cheap but for a night's sleep and nothing more okay. Not really for me. There were what I think were road workers staying there and they got up at 5:30am and ran their trucks before they left, for some reason. It wasn't cold out. And they shouted back and forth to each other for about 15 minutes so that was the end of sleeping for me. Kind of an unpleasant experience. I left early and got gas and coffee at the gas station down the road. The "drive-in" up the road coming into town was good for dinner.

We were traveling Highway 50 as an alternate route. As we first drove by the Sundown we noted the place is older but looked okay. We admit we did go down to check out the Best Western but it was $99 plus!!! A ridiculous price! So we drove straight back to the Sundown, had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Margie Hammond and stayed in the room for $52. The room is clean, wi-fi is excellent, and has a flat screen tv. There are decent restaurants within walking distantce

Yes, Eureka is a tiny town, but boy does it have character! Eureka is a typical mining town, with a lot of amazing history. If you're a big city kind of person, this probably is not the place for you, but if you're road tripping or you are on a business trip to the area, or you love little mining towns and history, Eureka is great.

The room was small, but very nice. The bathroom was mostly clean, but the toilet seat didn't appear as if it had been scrubbed quite enough. The location is fantastic--directly across from the market and from the Owl Restaurant. The only thing is that some of the guests weren't overly considerate. Not really the motel's fault, though.
