The food is decent here. A little overpriced, but....it's Elko. The no-smoking laws aren't exactly enforced in this town. While there's no smoking in the restaurant portion of Maddie's, there's an attached bar with no separate entrance and nothing to close it off from the eating area. It's quite unpleasant.
The service is always good and I really like the onion rings (they're beer battered). I just wish they, like all the other businesses in Elko, would get a clue and realize that they're actually hurting the local economy by gouging prices because the mine employees are paid well. This isn't New York or California - the infrastructure isn't here to justify such highway robbery.
