“Super-Clean & Comfortable”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

We had planned to stay at another hotel, but had a mix-up with our reservation. The other hotel said that the TownePlace Suites was the only other comparable hotel to theirs. (I think another hotel recommending it is a good sign & a compliment, don't you?)

The TownePlace is a fairly new hotel in Elko and is convenient to the freeway, yet off on it's own, so the location is a bit quieter.

We were assigned a room on the first floor not far from the main desk, so I was a bit worried about the amount of noise we might encounter, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. We could hear someone running on the 2nd floor in the morning and a couple kids & dog (this is a pet-friendly place) in the hall in the morning, but it wasn't too bad.

Our room was a handicapped-accessible room, so I can't really say what a standard room is like, but our room was huge! It had a chair instead of the fold-out sofa that was in the standard rooms. It was also super-clean...one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The bed was also very comfortable with a great mattress...not too firm, nor too soft. There were a lot of pillows and a couple different kinds so we could choose which was most comfortable for us.

For those who are staying for awhile or want to save on food, the rooms have a large kitchenette with dishwasher, fridge, two burners, microwave, sink, dishes, & plenty of pantry space.

The closet is small (could barely fit my carry-on size suitcase in there on the luggage rack), but there's a laundry basket in there, which is a nice touch if you're going to make trips to the laundry center.

Loved the fun red & white polka-dot shower curtain in the bathroom...nothing special, but it sure adds some colorful fun to the place.

We wanted to use the pool & exercise room, but didn't get to this time.

This place is probably the most expensive in Elko, but it was only about $20 more per day than the Hilton Garden Inn, which doesn't have a kitchenette.

Rolled into Elko, Nevada by chance during a recent road trip. Our first stop was another well known western hotel chain only to learn that it was full. This seemed odd since it was a Tuesday afternoon. We learned that Elko is a bustling mining town, with lots of visitors during the work week. Hotels book up weekdays but are fairly open on weekends. Luckily they referred us to this property. Thankfully, it is off the main strip of Elko, up a slight hill, so there is a better view. It is new and clean. More importantly, this place seems to have the most accommodating staff I have ever experienced. "Our pool closes at 10 pm, but if you let us know, we can make arrangements. . . breakfast ends at 9 am but if you let us know, we can make arrangements..." The desk person also gave us a good recommendation for a place for dinner (Star Restaurant, a place frequented by locals). Overall, a good spot to stay when in Elko. Just to be safe, make an advance reservation if you want to make sure you get a decent place.

Everything was fantastic, from the staff to the rooms! We stayed a week and everyone was so nice and helpful., This place is so unique in the fact that it is an extended stay and hotel combined in one. What I mean by this is that you have maid service every day to do a refresh plus once a week they do a thorough cleaning. The refresh consists of fresh towels, making the beds, running the dishwasher and organizing the entire room. Most extended stays do not offer everyday service and some do with an added extra cost. I cannot say enough about the staff and their efforts to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The General Manager, Matt, was very nice and helpful. His even sent one of his employees to pick up some lunch for me. We have to come back in October for twenty months and we will be definitely staying here. It is the only place we would consider now.

we have been here since june 8 and this place is clean and nice. the indoor heated pool and spa is very nice and clean as well as the gym . continental breakfast every morning is good. they serve hot oatmeal with the toppings to put on it, they have bagels and english muffins with cream cheese and jellies, butter etc. they have milk boxes, activia and light fit yougurt ,individually wrapped hard boiled egg 2 packs with salt and pepper with them, they have oj and cranberry juice ,coffee, hot cocoa and tea and ice water, they also have apples, banas and huge individually wrapped muffins and many kinds of cereal(strawberry special k,granola, fruit loops, chocolate pebbles, raisin bran ,frosted flakes) if i had to say something negative . i dont like the laundry mat, the clothes dont get clean sometimes at 1.75 a load and the dryer only goes for 30 min and its 1.50 and never dryes our load of clothes. and one washer has been out of order for the whole time weve been here. matt the manager is awesome though and the maintenance guy justin and another maid as well as the other maids and people here. they have always been nice. matt has went above and beyond making sure we have all we need to make our stay pleasant. i would definately recommend this place to everyone and if your jhere for a mine or buisness living here thenthey have reasonble rates

Room Tip: i'd suggest bottom floor if u have kids, so they wouldnt disturb the hard working guys living he...

This hotel was clean, well-appointed and we would definitely stay again. When the sofabed is opened, we had to climb over the bed to get out, but that is a minor inconvenience due to room size. The breakfast was good and the entire experience was perfect. This is the only place we will stay next time we are in Elko.

Room Tip: This one is worth it.

This a very beautiful place to stay. The help is very polite and helpful. The only bad thing about this hotel is that the internet is very very bad. The connect is sporatic at best. You get disconnected at least four or more times before you just give up on even trying to stay online. The rooms are very nice and roomy. Shower heads a a bit low if your a taller person tho.
