The Best Western in Elko Nevada was an okay hotel. The staff was nice but attention to detail seemed to be missing. The pool (which was why we stayed) was ice cold so we were not able to enjoy it. The breakfast was okay but the orange juice machine was out of order both day and no one had simply run to the store to make sure orange juice was available. Also, one of the chocolate milks was spoiled. Lastly, the business center was appreciated but not completely functional as I could not download a simple PDF document and had to go elsewhere to do so. We were in town for a funeral and had only booked a hotel for a place to decompress and got a pool specifically for our son who loves to swim and were disappointed we could not. The staff was nice but it just seemed that there could have been a lot more attention to detail and focus on guest experience. They did give me a $20 discount for the pool issue. Elko is kind of a boom town and the hotels have no trouble filling up so I think because business is easy it's easy to not focus on some of the details.
