I know some people complain about hotels and how bad they are, but i keep things in perspective. This was LABOR DAY WEEKEND, i booked the hotel entirely too late, two days before, for under $75 after tax. You cannot BEAT that price for a last minute reservation. No hotels were going for under $120 a room, for even one star hotels. We stayed in room 302 i believe, at the end of the hall. (good for only two neighbors, one next to us, and one below us!)

This place was a nice queen size bed and a sleeper sofa. It had a dining table, fridge, microwave, and a sink with cupboards. The bathroom wasn't too bad either. Everything was in working and functional order, even the A/C! Sure, the breakfast wasn't that great, coffee (both species), hot water, an English muffin, condiments, a toaster, some yogurt, a microwave, and some cereals to choose from. HEY, IT'S INCLUDED!!! There was definitely nothing to sneeze at at this place, ignore the complainers. For the price I paid, i would certainly stay here again. I didn't rate it a 5 because, the bed wasn't the most perfect thing, but we didn't toss and turn too much, even with a bad back. Granted, it's not the Marriott (where we normally stay), but the beds and amenities were a perfect bang for the buck.

Back story, we stayed during labor day, which for all you non locals (we aren't), is the weekend they have the national "Nugget Rib fest/cook-off" in Reno, as well as the Burning Man festival. No rooms were available for over 50 miles for less than $120. This was the closest we could do to Reno for this cheap price this weekend!

Room Tip: As for a high floor, we didn't hear much of anything at all, and the room we stayed in was very...

Extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. The gal at the front desk was delighted to share some of the 'must-sees' in her town. The room was large and had a small fridge and microwave. A couple of minor cons: decor was a little dated, and TV was a little small. But the free internet was adequate, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Even though the hotel was nearly filled, it was quiet. Not at all noisy like a previous poster suggested. Overall, a great value. I would definitely stay again.

I was a little skeptical when we first checked in. The rooms look like they were decorated in the 80's, the beds were really low to the ground, they were a little hard but I slept well on them. The bed linens were changed daily, and the towels smelled fresh and overall it was very clean. It just had a dowdy look.

Although it's a non smoking hotel there were many people smoking outside the rooms walking up and down the sidewalk and the smell would waft in from the a/c unit in the wall. It seems like they could have signs saying don't smoke within 20 feet or something like that.

I wasn't thrilled with long term residents being there, but it was quiet despite being a Friday and Saturday night. The breakfast is a joke. I don't really even know why they bother. Cereal, stale english muffins, and yogurt. You're better off going across the street for the Casino's 2.99 deal.

For the price though, it was a decent hotel.

My family was in town, I had about 6 rooms taken at the hotel. Every one of my family members said their stay was excellent. Most of my family stayed in the main building but i had 2 that stayed in the king suites and although the basic rooms that the 4 were staying in were really nice the king suite was, extremely comfortable. My parents stayed in one of the king suites and there were no complaints. In fact they have already made a reservation to stay in a couple of months in the same room. They stayed on one of the busier nights and the people around them were really nice. There was nothing sleazy about this hotel. Best hotel in Carson City by far... especially for the rate we got. The front desk staff really helped out on rates to make it affordable for my family. I highly recommend this hotel. As for the breakfast, I wasn't even expecting one, but i was very appreciative to find there was, perfect grab and go meal to start their day.

Upon arriving we were told they have a laundry in Building 3. We asked two women drinking wine on the curb in the back area where the laundry room was and they directed us to another building. I was to find out later they house the women working in the brothels in the rooms in the rear as I heard the drivers loudly honk their horns for the ladies to be taken to work in their vans. They were also blasting rap music of the most vulgar nature while waiting for the women to come to the vans to be transported to work.

The breakfast consisted of cold cereal, yogurt if you arrived early along with some english muffins and toast. We were on a tour and this was the worst breakfast of the entire 14 days.
