This was recommended by a fellow traveler and was worth the stop! The building is decorated with old mining and transportation equipment. We just had the huge nacho plate, and it was excellent. The food coming in and out looked great too. Would have like to tried the beer selection, but had a lot of driving to do!

We eat at Red's about once a month because the food is good, the portions very generous, and the drinks menu extensive. This visit I had the osso bucco, which was excellent and almost more than I could manage. She Who Must Be Obeyed had her usual steak salad, but tried the Dirty Goose martini for the first time, recommended by Nick, our wait-staff. She said it was outstanding! Simply Grey Goose vodka, with a tad of olive juice and three olives. Nick was very knowledgeable about both the booze and the food. Recommendations: Check the internet for 2-for-one coupons at Red's - makes the final check much more palatable. Go for Happy Hour and sit in the bar - half-price drinks (all vodka martinis are made with Grey Goose), and you can move to the dining room or stay there for dinner. Warning: The bar can be VERY noisy at times, especially when the legislative AA's have had a couple too many.
As Ah'nold said, "I'll be back."

On the way back from visiting old town Carson City we discovered this restaurant. It is located a short distance from the State Capital. Service and food was excellent with a great atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with antiques and memorabilia that have to be worth the visit alone.

What's not to like? Great BBQ ribs, brisket, chicken and everything else! Large portions, so no one leaves here hungry. Great atmosphere witth all kinds of wagons, farm equipment , and all kinds of historic stuff hanging from the rafters. Large amount of beer selections on tap.Warning: this is not a tofu place! This is just great place to eat BBQ, and plenty of it! Service is excellent too!
A fun place to dine!

It was my friend / Sis-in Laws Birthday! We started with pints and "naked" chicken wings. they are my favorite wings anywhere!!! They were great! ........For lunch ( Or Linner-It was almost 3pm)
I had the smaller portion of Salmon and veggies. (Jessica-Our waitress) substituted the mashed for more veggies, YAY! Good meal. Cindy had the brisket sandwich and said it was good also. It was very crowded in there, but we had great service. We didn't push the fact that it was Cindy's Birthday because we were way too full to even look at the dessert menu, but I am sure whatever you get here, will be good. I LOVE the decorations, knotty wood tables and the ambiance.
