Motel 6 Beatty / Death Valley

Clean, comfortable, and simple. You're not paying for extraneous amenities, but what you get is a nice clean bed. Wifi costs extra, but ethernet connection is free. Staff is friendly and helpful. A close drive to Death Valley. Would stay here again.

Located is Beatty, Nevada, a few miles down the road from California's Death Valley National Park, this Motel 6 is an excellent alternative to staying in Death Valley itself and a great value. In fact, some areas of the park are more convenient to access from here than from the accommodations in Death Valley proper. For instance, the one-way Titus Canyon Road. Just 5 miles from the hotel are the ruins of the ghost town of Rhyolite and the Goldwell Open Air Museum; these sites make for very good interludes to a visit to Death Valley proper.

The reception at Motel 6 was efficient. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the sound isolation is so thin that it may bother light sleepers. Wifi internet is available for a $5 charge, cable internet is free. There are several dining options within walking distance.

It is a good choice if you plan to go to Death Valley especially if you plan to go to Titus Canyon. Location is good. Staffs are friendly. Rooms are very basic but the price worth for it. Though the rooms are compact but are functional with good size of bathrooms. Clean room, comfy bed. Restaurants and gas station are within walking distance.

We spent there one night during our visit in Seath Valley NP. The place is basic but nice, clean and comfortable. This was all we needed. Staf were helpful. There are not to many dining options in the area. Great value for the money paid and a good choice for visiting the Death Valley. I would stay there again.

We chose this property for visiting Death Valley National Park (DVNP) this November. It is located eight miles outside Death Valley in Nevada.

Considering the deserted roads to drive on till we got there, we were apprehensive about the motel. All our fears were dispelled once we were greeted by friendly staff on a late evening. The place was clean and rooms were fresh. The bathroom is functional with a spacious shower and a small seat. The beds were standard in very compact, but comfortable rooms. Quality of sleep was excellent.

We used the laundry on the second floor and enjoyed the complimentary Coffee. The place has vending machines for small conveniences including aspirin. The Death Valley Candy and Nut store next door is a good place to pick up candy, sun-dried fruits and sandwiches. Closest food option is a Denny’s located inside a casino next door. Gas costs are closer to the national average in Beatty and almost half compared to Death Valley prices.

If you are planning to visit DVNP, this place is convenient and costs a lot less than staying inside the National Park. The friendly and helpful staff is a definite plus.

The walls are super thin, nothing in the rooms other than soap and towels, not even a hair dryer or tissues. Bedding is scratchy. I had to mark drop a star on cleanliness because of a bloody swipe near the bathroom door, but other than that it was clean enough. There was coffee available in the morning in the lobby.

Staff was very friendly and it's centrally located.

Clean hotel, friendly staff with free internet (cabled). About 20 minutes to the Death valley park boundary that enteres about midway in to the park.

Walking distance to Subway, Denny's, casino, three family owned restaurants.

Well worth staying here instead of in the park - at least half the price.

Room Tip: One elevator and it is very slow. Choose a room on a lower floor.
