“Good, Small Town Happy Place”
Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

Seriously, who can resist time spent with a happy burro? It's a small place with character in a small town with character. Bartender Danna is great. There's enough fun stuff on the walls to keep you amused and laughing. It's a quieter alternative to the Sourdough next door. And a chili-cheese baked potato hits the mark at the end of a long day of motorcycle touring.

“Good Chili and Beer”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

Right across from the Exchange Club Motel. Good food and cheap beer. Wish they had Stone IPA on tap. Would have made it a 5*. Still a good place to grad some grub! Friendly, too.

“It Was Fun!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We went here because it was right across the street. We had a good time, ate chili and had beers, and chatted with the bartender. Good food, cheap meal, worthwhile. Lots of cowboy decor, as well as a bunch of chili contest awards.

“One of the best cowboy bars and cheap eats in America”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

I honestly don't think there's a better place in the West to grab a beer and burger -- and a bowl of chili if you're hungry. Burgers are 5 bucks, and cold draft beers (several selections) are $2. Other than their award-winning chili, there isn't really anything else on the menu. But who cares? The atmosphere in this place is classic, especially the outside-patio area (where you'll need to eat if anyone in your party is under 21). It's VERY Western. Like the displayed "Beatty taxi" -- it's a wheelbarrow. It's a little cold outside at night in winter, but don't worry because they'll fire up this big ol' barrel heater to keep you warm. The burgers aren't fantastic, only good. But, again, who cares? This place is a classic, and I'd even drive from Death Valley just to have a meal and beer here.

“Best dive bar ever”

Cheap drinks, funny bartender and great chili. Plus an actual cowboy is in there getting drunk. What else could you ask for in a lil town.
