We decided to visit Death Valley during Thanksgiving holidays and were looking for the hotel just a few days before our trip. All the hotels in the valley itself were full as well as ones in cities around the valley. We accidentally found that Stagecoach Hotel and Casino had rooms available and booked it for 3 nights. Read all the bad reviews but at this point we had no other options.

It was OK place to sleep after a day of hiking, and cheap too. Our room had a refrigerator, the beds seemed clean and the room was definitely cleaned daily. But this is pretty much all the good things about it. On the bad side:
- carpet looked really dirty;
- first evening we saw a cockroach on the wall.;
- there were only 2 sets of towels even though there were three of us and this information was on reservation;
- after second night we found a pool of water on the bathroom floor behind and around the toilet. We informed the front desk about it before we left for a day. When we came back the floor was dry, but the water appeared again after the toilet was flushed. We decided to leave it like that as it was late and we were leaving Beatty next morning. Not sure if it was fixed after we left.

I would try to avoid this hotel if there are other options. But if not - well, you'll survive, just don't expect too much.

After staying 3 nights in Vegas we stayed 1 night in Beatty on our way to Death Valley and Yosemite.
Beatty is a small one horse town with just a couple of motels and is a nice alternative for staying in Death Valley's Furnace Creek of Stovepipe Wells.

Because Beatty is outside the park is lies higher than Furnace Creek, the temperature is nicer in Beatty (more than 10 degrees lower when we were there)

The Stagecoach calls itself a hotel but looks more a motel to us.
Basic rooms but a nice pool area.

Across the street there a nice store that sells a decent cup of coffee and good icecream.
Gas is also cheaper here compared to the park.

The little casino smelled very much like smoke. Much more than in Vegas.
There also a decent restaurant.

There free Wifi but that didn't work when we were there.

Since staying in Death Valley was anywhere from $146-$400 per night we decided to drive 45 miles outside of park and stay at the Stagecoach Hotel and Casino for only $56.00 per night. Nothing amazing just a very large, clean, sparsley decorated room. Great pool area with jacuuzi. They have a restaurant and casino on site. The casino is very, very smokey. Yet the restaurant is smoke free.

4 of us stayed for 1 night on our way out of Death Valley to Las Vegas. The motel is ok but we had a problem with our a/c unit during the night and as the temp was in excess of 108, it was kind of uncomfortable. As we were only stopping for the 1 night, we were all too tired to report it but when I told the receptionist the next morning she was very apologetic so I can't really gripe about that.
Facilities inside the room = fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron & board
Facilties outside the room = plenty of parking, easy access off the 1 road which runs through Beatty; good pool area (nice and clean) with spa and cabanas
We did notice some bugs, like a previous reviewer, but thought that was typical as we were in the desert.
Rita's restaurant was a bit dark and dull - and so was the food. After eating we spent about half an hour in the bar playing the dollar poker machines so the free drinks made up for the dull food. The ice-cream place across the car park from the hotel is very good - and the store sells some pretty decent beef jerky too.
After the mediocre meal @ Rita's, we gave it a miss for breakfast the next morning and went to the Ensenada Grill instead - turn right out of the Stagecoach then left on 2nd Street. It looks like a dive but the food is lovely - the breakfast burrito looked good (the couple on the next table had that between them) but the pancakes were something else - over an inch thick and big as plates - mmmmm !!!!
Would I stay at the Stagecoach again? Not sure, think I'd try the one across the road next time - I'll tell you then !!

We were excited to stay at the Stagecoach Hotel. We were given room 125 because we had two little dogs with us and they are pet friendly.

Unfortunately they are too pet friendly. Our bathroom was occupied by brown roaches and not the nice kind. The hotel is built cheaply but appeared to be clean until the lights went out and the roaches came out.

We made money in the casino....but I would not recommend staying in the rooms or eating there. Maybe they need better bug control.

Not much in Beatty, NV except three or four hotels and a couple restaurants. Stayed here on a visit to Death Valley National Park. The town has some (limited) eating options and not much else. The Stagecoach appears to be the biggest commercial development in town. The room was old and worn. The registration (in the casino) loud and smoky with the person working the desk absent from time to time. Rooms were clean enough, but some noise from the attached casino/traffic. Next time we'd choose the newer looking Motel 6 next door.
