There is a reason this place is consistently awarded "Excellent" when reviewed on Trip Advisor. We have stayed in a number of different guesthouses over the years and this place is absolutely head and shoulders above anywhere else we have ever stayed; it truly is exceptional.
On arrival you'll see the first signs of attention to detail; a path bordered by beautiful (and fragrant) flowers and plants. The reception to the back is a conservatory with a table, sofas and a large number of OS maps and provides a beautiful place for reading and relaxing. Both the dining room and the living room areas are homely and beautiful and the same is true for the bedroom, which has everything you need for a very comfortable stay - exceptionally well thought out.
We found Helen and Bob to be very friendly, professional and attentive and were frequently (overwhelmingly) impressed by their attention to detail throughout our three nights there. They were always ready with information and advice on attractions in the surrounding area - which allowed us to make the most of our time there. In addition to the delightful guesthouse (which on its own would warrant a 5* review), by far the most exceptional feature was the food; absolutely worthy of a Michelin Star. Much of the food served is either locally sourced or made from scratch on-site and the quality was always excellent. I could go on with my praise for this place but I'd urge you to spend a day or two there and see it for yourself; you'll have a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world.
