There is a reason this place is consistently awarded "Excellent" when reviewed on Trip Advisor. We have stayed in a number of different guesthouses over the years and this place is absolutely head and shoulders above anywhere else we have ever stayed; it truly is exceptional.

On arrival you'll see the first signs of attention to detail; a path bordered by beautiful (and fragrant) flowers and plants. The reception to the back is a conservatory with a table, sofas and a large number of OS maps and provides a beautiful place for reading and relaxing. Both the dining room and the living room areas are homely and beautiful and the same is true for the bedroom, which has everything you need for a very comfortable stay - exceptionally well thought out.

We found Helen and Bob to be very friendly, professional and attentive and were frequently (overwhelmingly) impressed by their attention to detail throughout our three nights there. They were always ready with information and advice on attractions in the surrounding area - which allowed us to make the most of our time there. In addition to the delightful guesthouse (which on its own would warrant a 5* review), by far the most exceptional feature was the food; absolutely worthy of a Michelin Star. Much of the food served is either locally sourced or made from scratch on-site and the quality was always excellent. I could go on with my praise for this place but I'd urge you to spend a day or two there and see it for yourself; you'll have a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world.

I stayed one night in this Farmhouse with my sister in July 2013 and everything was simply perfect. The owners are very friendly and accommodating (we arrived late at night). They pay attention to every detail with flowers in the bedroom, on the breakfast table, everywhere. The breakfast is excellent with original and homemade jams, and the lot. The bedrooms are very nice and well-equipped with everything one can wish for. Everything was simply perfect, from the property to the food. I wish i had stayed longer at Bob and Helen's house. None of the B&Bs we stayed at while travelling in Scotland were even close to Dalqueich Farmhouse. Thank you very much to Bob and Helen for your care!

Thank you for the review, it's always very helpful to know what guests feel, so we can ensure that what is liked continues, and what we can change to improve the stay.
Late arrival is usually not a problem for us, especially as we need to accommodate flight times to Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as ferry services from the continent.
Hope to see you both again soon, with kind regards,
Helen & Bob

We were immediately made to feel very at home by Bob and Helen. Their kindness and attention to detail was exceptional. Most certainly the best breakfast that we have had anywhere, with local produce and a lot of home made food. We only stayed one night but both Fife and Dalqueich Farmhouse deserve a much longer visit. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post a review- they really are appreciated by other travellers and, of course, ourselves.
We agree with your comments on the potential of the area- there really is a lot more to see and do than many realise. We just spent the last two days at the Pittenweem Art Festival in one of the nicest fishing villages in Britain. Splendid weather and a great art festival. This weekend we have the Kinross show, and the following weekend a Mary Queen of Scots re-enactment on nearby Loch Leven. There is such a lot going on over the summer.
"Haste ye back"
Kind regards
Helen & Bob

We have stayed in countless Hotels & B&Bs but Dalqueich Farmhouse is no ordinary place and certainly not comparable with anything which claims to be an accommodation service. It is one of those rare gems that will make you want to go back. I have never felt so comfortable while on a holiday. The farmhouse is lovely, the garden, the little river, the conservatory is so welcoming and the rooms perfectly decorated to provide serenity and peacefulness. Breakfast is always something to look forward to, especially Helen's & Bob's award winning Jams, food is so fresh and lovingly prepared with utmost attention to ingredients, you will never forget those few days you will spend there...

Staying at Bob and Helen's is just one of those experiences that you want to have over and over again. They leave nothing to chance, the rooms are equipped with anything you may need up to the minutest detail. Anything you enquire about is met with genuine interest and they go out fo their way to help you make your stay and holiday the best possible. Travel books are available in abundance, as are reading books, dvds, and the like. Their breakfast is exquisite, not to mention their award winning jams, which make you want to try them again and again. Everything is genuine, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We particularly liked the fact that we were made so comfortable within a short span of time. The quaint conservatory, the beautiful flowers, the garden...it all made it a great escape from our busy lives. Thank you Bob and Helen, we will be back!

Hi, Thank you for the great review, Kinross is a great place to stop by on the way further North, and as you found, there is a lot to see and do nearby. Over the last year or two we have found a lot more come to stay in the area having arrived in Hull or Newcastle by ferry- it's just a nice ditance away for the next stop.
We do hope you enjoy the marmalade- it travels the world with our guests, and we'd love to see you again.
Best regards

I found Dalqueich from a recommendation from a friend and would certainly recommend this B and B to everyone. I arrived after a hard and wet day dog training to a lovely welcome from Helen and Bob. Tea and cake was ready for me when I arrived and much appreciated. Bertie the spaniel then gave my dog, Mos a lovely welcome also and tired her out a bit more for me. Then with Mos and myself were relaxing in the lounge Helen brought me wine! the room was perfect with a private bathroom beside with an amazing shower. Superb breakfast the next morning which well and truly set me up for the next day training - Helen even made me a packed lunch with a sausage for Mos. I left with a couple of jars of amazing homemade marmalade definitely worth getting some. Very relaxed and friendly service from a couple that couldn't do enough for me.Thank you Helen, Bob and Bertie. I don't think you could find anywhere better to stay.

Bertie really enjoyed playing with Mos and missed her when you left.
We're so pleased that you enjoyed your brief stay and hope to see you and Mos again.
