Wonderful hotel high atop Lake Lucerne. No air conditioning but no screens on the windows either. Hating bugs we had to keep the windows closed and it was hot. Very old facility. The floors squeek loudly so when someone upstairs walks around you can hear them. Get the highest floor. Bathrooms are old, shower is low so if you are over 6 feet you will have to bend to wash your head. Breakfast buffet is ok. Only hot item is scrambled eggs. Good assortment of cereals and fresh fruit. Access road to it is a little scary. Several hairpin turns and the last part is straight so they eliminated the guard rail. But it is still a steep drop if you veer off the road. I took a taxi up the road on a slick and foggy morning and the driver took the turns at 30 mph! We would have been dead instantly if another car came along and we had to swerve. Scarier then a coaster ride.

We loved it. It's almost perfect. The setting is stunning, the Park hotel is first class: food, service, cleanliness, decor, so much to do. GO NOW!

We loved the hotel and the location. The service is warm and welcoming. The environment is upscale yet comfortable. Our room was very large with wall to wall windows, a spectacular terrace and a view for miles. The guest rooms are not air conditioned. Most of the windows open, however, there are plenty of bugs! The breakfast is good and there is a terrace for outdoor dining. The outdoor pool area is very large but in need of a bit of a facelift. The indoor pool is spectacular. The hikes and walks from Burgenstock are fabulous and interesting. We enjoyed their outdoor lift - the highest in Europe. Lucerne is easily accessible by ferry or car. We read that the drive to Burgenstock is treacherous and we disagree. We found many more drives much more challenging and the hotels are easily reached by car. It was a quiet and peaceful location - we loved it.
