Stopped here while traveling to Colorado. We travel with a small dog, so we were assigned a 'pet designated' room. There were signs of attempts to redecorate the rooms. However the condition of the carpet was deplorable. It was severely soiled and stained, obviously from previous pets. The room should not have been used in that condition.

Robert,

Thank you for the feedback during your stay. We have been shampooing the carpets more frequently and apologize that we did not have the carpet properly clean during your stay with us. We will work harder to make sure the room is properly inspected prior to renting the room out. Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate you letting us know what we can do to improve our hotel.

This hotel is super great!! It has a fabulous steakhouse on property, truck parking and very comfy beds. I was very impressed with how clean the hotel rooms are. It looks like an older hotel, but it is it is very well maintained! Will stay here whenever we are in the area.

Motel is fairly typical of the expectations for a Best Western. Good location for interstate travelers. Rooms are a little small but adequate. Folks at the desk were friendly and helpful, though that seems to be pretty typical in Nebraska. Wifi was good. The restaurant next door, the Golden Spur, was excellent. I would certainly stay at this motel again.

The kids loved the outdoor pool and playground area. The patio at the pool was nice. The building showed its age, but it was a nice place, clean and comfortable. The folks at the front desk recommended going to Front Street... it turned out to be a lot of fun. There is no place like NE

This is your typical road side motel. We stayed there on our way to Colorado. Somewhat run down, pool was dirty, the rooms were fairly clean and the beds pretty comfortable, but the showers not so much. Lots of bikers, truckers and a few families needing a place to crash. I didn't feel safe letting my kids run down for ice etc. It wasn't scary, but not a completely safe feeling either. Frankly, when you get to Ogallala, there isn't too much to pick from. Really, anywhere along that highway is pretty much a crash pad. I will say that the front desk was nice, the breakfast was very good, (eggs, sausage, waffles, breads/bagels/muffins, and good coffee) and for that I was surprised. It's OK if your on a budget. Just don't expect 'nice' rooms.

Thank you for your review and acknowledging our hot breakfast. Sturgis just started last weekend and there will be a lot of bikers on the road for the next two weeks. We apologize that you didn't feel safe at our hotel. We try our best to accommodate all travelers and we hope that if you ever come back we will have another chance to prove to you that we are a very family friendly hotel.
