Room was well furnished, and had comfortable beds. Housekeeping could be improved. Sunflower seeds on the floor near the bed and old scum in the shower, indicating that the shower hadn't had a thorough cleaning for a long time. Sink drain was partially clogged. Toilet wasn't thoroughly clean.

Door to the outside of the building had an illegal padlock on it (not locked), perhaps because the key-card lock didn't work.

Electrical receptacles worked well (not worn out so that plugs fall out, as I've experienced in a lot of hotels).

"Please don't fill coolers with ice" sign on ice machine.

Cont breakfast was very basic. We didn't use it.

I have stayed at many Days Inn motels all over USA and this is defintiely the worst one!

After checking in we entered our room: the curtain was hanging off the rails; the TV cable was decidedly unsafe; there was a foul smell of stale curry throughout the property.

Breakfast!!! There was no-one available to replenish the stocks so food was running out, even though we were there early. The seating is inadequate for the size of the motel.

The swimming pool was out of use and was filled with old, foosty mattresses. corridors also had old mattresses as did the parking area at the bak of the motel.

The reception desk was usually empty and so there was no-ont to whom we could pass our comments on leaving.

There was hardly ever anyone at the front desk. The room was filthy! Hair on the toilet and in the tub, carpet was soiled and gross, when I sat at the writing table the leg fell off. The odor in the room was icky, thank God for Febreeze!! You couldn't open the drapes and that is only if you wanted to touch them. If this is any indication of Days Inn on a whole, I will never ever ever stay at another one. Oh and the swimming pool was closed for some reason never revealed.

We were just staying at this days inn over night on our way to Valentine.
Checking in was fine, however it was a little annoying that I payed the same amount for one queen sized bed that the people were traveling with payed for two.
The room was fine, some dislikes were damage to the molding, and something really weird with the shower drain. The bed was firm, which is not really how I prefer it, but it was ok for the night. The room was set up a little strange, apparently it had been a two bed room originally, but something happened to the other bed, and they didn't bother to make it less blatantly obvious.
Breakfast was a little skimpy, bagels, donuts and cereal were our options, and there was not cream cheese for the bagels.
Although it did not effect us the pool and spa were "down".
The location was great, right in the middle of North Platte, so we could do a little sight seeing before we headed of for the day.
All and all you get what you pay for, I would not recommend it for an extended stay, but for just stopping for the night it was fine.

I reserved a handicapped accessible room with 2 beds for 4 people in April 2009 for a July 2009 stay at Days Inn North Platte. When I arrived at the hotel around 6:30 pm, I was checked in, my credit card was processed, and then the desk clerk told me that the handicapped room only had one king size bed and there were no other rooms with 2 beds available. So then my credit card charge had to be canceled and we were left to look for another room. We were fortunate enough to find a really nice and very accommodating hotel right across the street - a Comfort Inn. Days Inn has become our "last resort" choice when looking for lodging because of this issue, and Comfort Inn/Choice Hotels has become our budget chain of "choice".

wish this hotel chain would be more consistent w/ quality of rooms. room had stains on the carpet, stains in the sink, ironing board had at least 7 giant holes that were burned in it. wireless did not work. had to take laptop to the front desk for them to enter the log in and password for the wireless. when i got back to my room and tried it, there was not signal strength. lobby was not clean. breakfast bar was locked from the outside, so you had to walk all the way around to the front to get in.

The worst stay of our two-week vacation across 7 states. The room had a slight smell of vomit, the pool was "down," the breakfast room cramped and poorly supplied. But the worst part showed up later down the road, when my partner discovered bites all up and down one arm and on his neck. Yuck!! No way on God's green earth I would ever stay here again.
