When traveling across Nebraska you will need to get out of the car at times. This stop made for an interesting diversion from an otherwise monotonous landscape. It's a great chance to be entertained while stretching your legs.

We are glad you stopped to stretch your legs at Fort Cody!! (Of course, being life-long Nebraska residents, we think crossing Nebraska is BEAUTIFUL drive!) Fort Cody has been in business since 1963, and is approaching third generation ownership. We're pretty proud of our fun little shop and are glad you enjoyed it!

My dad stopped here for us boys every year on our annual ski trip to Colorado and now I stop with my kids. I remember as a kid they had a real human skull in a case which was "cool" to a 8 year old in 1972. I didn't see it any more, probably not politically correct anymore...at least they still sell rubber tomahawks.

This is one of those quirky roadside attractions like Wall Drug that everyone must visit at least once. I was drawn in by the Wild West Show miniature attraction. It was very interesting. There are some other wild west items on display. The courtyard out back is a great place to take some fun pictures. Loved the muffler man turned Indian! The gift shop has a wide variety of merchandise including toys, clothes, jewelery, books, souvenirs, etc. Stop in and check it out if you are passing through Nebraska.

I'm giving the miniature figurine and culture aspects of the store two thumbs up. Within the cheap souvenir store can be found thousands of not so cheap mini replica's of Wild Bill's theme park that spans two rooms. The staff were friendly and I saw a lot of kids having fun. It's definitely a spot to stop and to take a breather.
