We have eaten at 4 of the 5 Whiskey Creek restaurants in Neb. and the one in Kansas. All are good and there's some interesting varieties to try. My Wife knows about them, I know about the ribs. As we travel ca. to mn. at least once a year, so we get to eat at a W.C. going and returning. Only "poor" stop was a screaming two legged monster in the next booth - we moved. I dearly love the bucket of peanuts that comes with the table and hope that continues. Hope to check out the Ia. and mn. ones this year

I have never been to a place where you can cook your own steak. It was a great experience and the food was excellent, too. The waitress was friendly and the prices were very reasonable.

We had dinner at Whiskey Creek. The room is pleasant and tables well spaced and service was excellent, friendly, helpful and attentive. My rib-eye with peppercorn sauce and sweet potato was well cooked and the sauce tasty. Wines were reasonably priced. Altogether we had ate well and left happy and satisfied.

It's been a couple years since we ate here and from some of the recent reviews we were a little hesitant to go back. But since the dining selection is limited in North Platte we decided to give it a try. It was a Friday night and we got there about 6:00pm and it wasn't very crowded. We were seated immediately and the waiter was very pleasant. I mentioned the bad reviews and it was news to him. Hard to believe mgmt. doesn't keep an eye on 'Trip Advisiors' site and how it pertains to their restaurant and pass that information on to the wait staff. Three of the four meals were good...chicken, flat iron steak and bbq (well, the bbq was average). The fourth was the prime rib and my wife couldn't eat it there was so much fat throughout the meat. A real surprise since this is suppose to be their 'speciality'! When the waiter came to clear the table he ask her if there was something wrong with the meal and she explained to him the problem. He apologized, offered to bring another one, that she declined, and he took it off the bill. It's to bad they hadn't noticed that before they brought it to the table. If not for that one bad meal I probably would of given a 4 star rating. The restaurant was quite full when we left. If you're in NP and staying close to the Interstate, Whiskey Creek is not a bad place to eat.

Went during Happy Hour, tasty half priced Margaritas. Our waitress failed to tell us that just that only a couple flavored were half priced, we were drank one round of the regular priced before clarity then switched to the happy Hour priced ritas. We had to ask for the bread and peanuts this time. Good food walked away full. We were seated near the kitchen which was loud at times.
