Love these falls, and Dog Falls, but disappointed at parking charges. I guess this is a sign of the times; when I first visited here some 25 years ago one either walked or didn't go.

There are a range of woodland walks from 300m to 1.7miles to reach the falls.

Once you reach the falls the view is breathtaking, with a platform above and a platform to the side of the falls. Although not the easiest of access roads, mainly a dirt tract full of pot holes, it is well worth a look

Simply stunning falls especially with ice on the backdrop. Easily accessed from nearby carpark. Recommend going to base of falls and viewing from opposite bank, different aspect with different light.

A great place to take your dog and walk in the tranquil forests. Beware of the road though as there are many pot holes.

Although there is quite a drive on a rough track (full of big pot holes) for a few miles after you pass through the charming little village of Tomich, it is well worth the trek.
We went in feb when the river was in full spate and the waterfall was amazing.
There is a choice if 3 walks (although signposting not great). You can walk 300 metres to top of waterfall complete with viewing platform or can take 2 longer walks which take you to the foot of the waterfall (eventually). And this is where it's worth seeing. The sheer power of water is unbelievable. We were both soaked right through from the spray coming off it. And the noise !! Wow.
Not sure how powerful and impressive the waterfall would be in summer but its still a very high drop of water and well worth a visit.
