As a guest in the Victoria Suite, I was impressed by an array of thoughtful touches and the clear committment to excellence. From large, thick bathrobes to the interesting selection of magazines, to the satiny soft bedding, to the personal note from the innkeeper, the suite was a haven of rest and luxury in the midst of a crazy travel schedule.

Wireless internet allowed me to relax and yet still engage with work when necessary. An outdoor hot tub, extensive gardens, and living room/den area complete the package of on-site amenities.

The food was outstanding! A breakfast of fresh garden asparagus and egg torte, banana bread, and fresh fruit, followed by a walk through the gardens, certainly set the tone for a wonderful day.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast, and I look forward to returning again soon!

Breakfasts were wonderful! Very well decorated and well kept. New owner is congenial and accomodating. Upstairs bedroom with queen bed was roomy, inviting and close to hallway bath. Pricing compensated for shared bath. Will be happy for the opportunity to visit again. Lots to do in town.

Although the breakfast was very good and the gardens & house were lovely, I wouldn't stay here again--three bedrooms share 1 bath & they're all double beds, though one was advertised as a king bed. The two rooms with private baths are downstairs in the cellar--nice enough but very moldy; don't even think about it if you have allergies as I do-- and at least one was advertised as a king bed but was actually a double. The Lied Lodge is lovely (but more expensive) but I would recommend the old stone cabins at the Apple Inn--clean and fun retro.
