We stopped at Burchell's for a night of rest and found the place to be everything we could want in a B&B. The host and hostess are wonderfully friendly as was the farm cat, Boots who was on hand to be petted every time we stepped outside. The room was warm on a COLD winter night (I especially appreciated the heated tile floor in the bathroom). Not only are the rooms spacious (and clean) but the downstairs common areas are comfortable. The on-site restaurant serves family-style farm meals in a clean, spacious facility next to the house.
For those travelling I-80 through Nebraska who want a quiet place to stop for a rest, this is the place. I also understand that it hosts bird-watchers during crane migration.More
