The room was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint was the TV remote control did not work correctly.
Hotel is close to highway, but still quiet. Breakfast could be better the bisquits were hard and the gravey was too thick. No hard boiled eggs. Nothing we couldn't do without.
This comes in second to the absolute worst motel I have ever stayed in in my life--and I have traveled quite a bit. The reasons for this rating are numerous. The desk clerk couldn't see to activate the card for our room correctly and when I did enter the room I found the bed nicely made--with a stark naked man lying on it. He didn't seem particularly concerned--nor did the desk clerk. Got another room--terribly worn and stained furniture, fleas, and RIGHT on the highway. Carpet that required 'shoes on' at all time. Cold--so pulled the bedspread off the other bed for additional cover--only to find it had a large wet spot on it---making me think of the naked man lying on the bed in the first room. To top it off this was the most expensive Days Inn I've ever stayed in. There isn't much offered in McCook as far a motels. I'd suggest either stay in North Platt.
