This was the first stop on my roadtrip from Wisconsin to Seattle. The hotel is located in the middle of downtown Lincoln. The U of Nebraska is nearby, as is the Haymarket district. Thus there's plenty to do, and some great food options nearby. Now to the nitty gritty. My room, overall, was filthy. There was hair just about everywhere, and it sure the hell wasn't mine because I don't have a whole lot. The carpeting was black, so there was probably a lot I didn't see! Clientele wise, there were also a few shady characters staying at the hotel. On the plus side, the staff was super nice......a reason why I can't rate this property less than average. Dirty rooms can always be changed. It's more difficult to find nice people to work for you!
Parking tip: If you want to avoid the scary hotel parking structure, park a block away at the Haymarket lot on 9th and P. It's $9 to park overnight, but at least you don't have to worry about killing somebody or ruining your car.
