“Somewhere between fast food and casual dining”

Someone in another review said that Braeda was a "poor imitation of Panera Bread". I think that adequately sums it up. On my recent visit to Braeda Fresh Express, I had a bland tasting chicken salad sandwich, but it was served with some really tasty, crisp french fries. My friend had the bread bowl soup, which looked to be canned, and slopped into a cheap bread bowl.

If you're going to compete in the soup/salad/sandwich world, you really need to make a quality product. It was *okay*, but Braeda could've been much better than it was.

“Poor imitation of Panera Bread”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

If you like to eat with others, go here at noon, if you like to eat with hardly anybody around, go here at night. The noon crowd is here because of 3 convenient locations around Lincoln, and at night there are so many other much better places to eat. When ordering, check your receipt, because if you have any coupons, they always forget to deduct them. Food is expensive for what you actually get, they give you a buzzer to pick up your order at the counter, and they expect you to buss your own table when done eating. The stack of dirty dishes piled up is enough to make your stomach turn. The decor is cold, the wood fake, the chairs hard, and the noise at the far Southeast one terrible. There are so many other great places is Lincoln to get a sandwich and bowl of soup or noodles for a lot less than Braeda, that are just as good.
